Soccer season is officially underway. The Joplin area will look a little different this year with McAuley not having a team (or so I hear, correct me if I am wrong) and College Heights having a new coach. Anyways....Good luck to all (especially SWMO teams).

SWsoccerjunkie,

You are correct...McAuley will not have a soccer team. Apparently it's all going to be football over there.

See you at some games.

For sure.

P.S. I also for got to mention that Joplin graduated 13 players so they will also look very different. Not to mention Neoshp will play without Meraino for the first time in 4 years.

True, but Neosho has Edgar Becerra. He's matured a lot in his style of play. They'll have a hard time shutting him down, along with Esau. Esau will give him that ball 90% of the time, and Edgar will score if the ball gets to him.

True true. Edgar is sort of like Lucas. Except Edgar is a little bit more in shape than what Lucas was in his post-Freshman year. As for Joplin's losing 14 seniors, thats going to be hard to fill those spots. Hows the Springfield teams looking?

most of them are factories and it doesn't matter who they loose, they'll be good forever (it seems). look for Kickapoo and Glendale to be really tough.

Yes Kickapoo is going to be good. They have that Heath kid still. Is he a Junior? Glendale, how can they not be good. Last year they went to the quarter-finals. Thats pretty tight.

Ozark

does Ozark have a very good soccer team? I overheard that they were placing a freshman on Varsity, seems like the size alone would make that difficult.

Re: Ozark

They are a streaky team. Some years they have been tough and others not so, but I know they usually turn a pretty big number out, so that player is either a pretty good player or they are down this year.

Re: Ozark

They had a pretty good team last year, but whats even more amazing is their field. If you ever get a chance to play there, go for it.

Re: Ozark

True, but I didn't like the fact that they had no lights. I used to play better at night.
