Ladue Announces New Head Coach

Very intriguing hire.

Ladue clearly swung and missed on their last coach who seemed out of his depth and was totally underprepared in most of the games so it's probably a good thing for better or worse they moved on from Coach Bryant (definitely more to that story probably). I don't know much about Hamilton, but according to the handful of people I know, they all have positive things to say about him including how organized he is. The Rams bring several starters back including 3-star linebacker Mason Marden.

Could be a sleeper team in Class 5.

P.S. According GSV, this is only the 6th head coach in over 70 years at Ladue🤯🤯🤯

Looks like an underwhelming hire. With the pay scale that they have, they should have been after Eckley. He's close to retirement and could have really padded that pension pay out.
Agree their pay scale is incredible. Eckley is already retired. JMO but if you look at his track record, he has been at places that really support their athletics and the whole town rallies around the schools. StL county, not so much.

He couldn't have found a more perfect landing spot than Farmington.

I heard a rumor Eckley was interested in the Ladue job, but probably a good thing for both parties he didn't get hired. Ladue does have a great pay scale and if Hamilton is a smart, resourceful man then he'll get to hire a very good staff because of the Ladue pay scale.

The problem is at many of the county schools, athletics isn't a big priority, and central office isn't concerned with you getting a great linebacker coach, but rather that they hire a foreign language teacher. You move out a ways and CO is more involved in extracurriculars and more willing to search and hire for those spots. I would guess a decent percentage of county schools have coaches who aren't in the high school and not even in the district. I don't know anything about Ladue, but if a class 5 school had a head football coach who was not only not in the building, but not even in the district, that would lead one to think football isn't a priority.

Attending a Ladue game is almost as intimidating as shopping at Plaza Frontenac......................just saying.
