Miller had a 45 YEAR coaching career. 20+ years as an OC or Co-OC at K-State where he was part of hugely successful seasons.

He was 21-23 in 4 years at SMS. But I am sure you would be way better running your mighty might attack. You should coach K-State and Mo State at the same time while concurrently running their booster club.

Duck you can be a decent even a great assistant, but that does not always make you a good head coach. Stec was a good DC but I think you would agree he was not a good head coach. There are many great assistant coaches, who have failed at being a head coach.

I’m all for giving this guy a shot if he can make MSU football relevant. I agree with Bullit that SWMO needs some good college football. Right now the best football event you can find in this corner of the state is Webb City High School on a friday night.

And even though Springfield is not a ‘football’ town but still think MSU would be supported if there was something to get excited about. The few games I’ve been to were very well attended. Of course ⅔ of the fans leave at halftime. But I think it shows there is interest. The fact that the buyout happened shows some interest and backing. Paul Lusk was kept as basketball coach for about 5 seasons too many.

I hope it works out. I would love to see MSU winning again. I do like that he took less pay and put that money towards his assistant coaches pool. That shows me he is committed for the long haul and is trying to bring in the guys to turn this thing around.
