Kearney getting turbo clocked

Did Campbell the Raytown starting quarterback play, or was he out with the injury he suffered last week?
Yes he played entire game. Raytown blew a 3 TD third quarter lead. Given what I saw last week that is no surprise. Coach Minnick et al are doing an amazing job but those lines won't be up to Class 5 par the first year.

Nancy Reagan had it pegged three decades ago..............just say no.

Cue the joey talk about how bad staley would destroy Webb even tho he picked the purple pups to beat them .....
It would be close. But Staley would smoke Webb in the second half. Who cares? They won't play. Staley will just keep turbo clocking everyone through the state final.

Get used to that turbo clock, purple pups. You may get another one from plate county.

ROFL!!!!!!!

Make no mistake...the highest hope of teams in District 8 is winning District 8. Then a possible trip to Webb by squeaking out a victory in the quarters. Then doing everything they can to prevent a turbo by the 3rd quarter. It is just where it is at. But their 5th team is still better than District 5's 3rd team.

In 2001 both Webb City and CJ hosted a semifinal game. Webb beat Park Hill and CJ lost I think 40-0 to a roided up PC team

JN, Ive enjoyed proving your and ur Kar-a-knee boys wrong time and time this year.

Can you STAMP that?

Ok Flint, Ive had about enough of you. You seem to pop up on everything, just to spread the whole "stamp it" mantra. Well guess what, CJ aint that good! Have them come on out to Ampipe or head down to Texas to West Canaan. Then CJ will play some REAL football!!

Hey KarKnee, worry about PC, not CJ. But I hope to see you in the stands when my bulldogs play Plate County in the semis. Ill bring you some stamps.

I'll enjoy watching Kearney win a District title again. And CJ? Ah, going home with a participation trophy AGAIN.

Um are you two fellers aware that there is a poll about us fighting to the death on another thread????

CJ, never heard of them, are they good?
Carl Junction, winners of 7 straight since a season opening two touchdown loss at Webb City. Have outscored their last 7 opponents by a score of 38.7 to 8.4. Six of those seven wins were against Class 5 schools.

CJ, located a few miles west of Webb City, has been unable to get past their neighbors in district play anytime the two have been placed in the same class. But that next door challenge has made the Bulldogs step it up to their highest quality of football in its history, motivated by the success of the Webbies but realizing they are getting closer to that level, at least for a particular season.

Many Webb City posters here are confident their team will knock off CJ again in a few weeks, but few would be cocky about it. Most know the Bulldogs are good enough to give the Cards a challenge should the district final come down to these two, and the smartest know that something like a small turnover difference could be enough to doom Webb for a night, because CJ is darn good.

But I'm guessing you knew most of that already.

CJ has won against three quality opponents: Pittsburg, Ozark, and Carthage. That's the equivalent of beating St Joe Lafayette, Maryville and Liberty North.

In other words, they are no better than Kearney, Platte County or Smithville.

Another opinion from Joey about CJ yet he hasn't been to one of their games, possibly ever.

My post was full of facts about CJ, plus guesses as to what the Webb posters might think about a possible rematch.

FYI Joey - "facts" are based on history i.e. actual results. I'm thinking you do not have any facts about this year's Carl Junction team.

And for the record, I have no personal belief that CJ is better (or worse) than Kearney, Platte County, Smithville or Excelsior Springs. Unless there's a semi-final match between two of these, we will never know for sure.

My personal opinion is CJ is legit. They have the most dominating D lineman I've ever seen. He is 2 inches too short of getting d1 offers . Webb played against Josh Frasier for a few years (Springdale Har-Ber) He was like 6'4" 330 and starts for Alabama . Webb kicked the crap out of him over and over . #46 for CJ isn't blockable. I think he had 18 tackles in the first game VS Webb. One year Webb had a starting lineman for Mizzou blocking him ...or I should say trying to block him..webbs guy got it handed to him. Webb's center this year has 20 something d-1 offers ...he made 18 tackles. Their running back is pretty good on offense but he's amazing at defense ...they have a defense that has had more success against webb in their last 4 games than any team has had since the early 80's . They have an enormous amout of speed at WR. Won state in the 100 meter relay two years in a row and 3 of those guys play WR for them. Its a game where I think Webb is the better team but if they dont play clean and lose the turnover battle ...they can't make up the difference. The first game this year Webb won the turnover battle and won the game ...play an unclean game and you lose ...they are very solid

I just pointed out that all this CJ worship is unwarranted based on the Facts about who they have played and defeated. Correlating the quality of those teams to similarly rated teams in the KC area by use of the national rating system. (for the benefit of FridayNightJunkie who appears to be from KC and knows those teams). Webb will throttle CJ by a margin that is similar to the margin they will throttle any KC teams that make the semi.

Blah blah bla. Webb still wins. Unless they have six turnovers

Lol. The teams aren't much different . Whoever plays with the least amount of mistakes will win. I think Webb picked off cj 3 or 4 times in week 1 but all int but one should have been caught .
