CalPreps has it Kearney 28 Harrisonville 20.

USA Today score predictor (Massey) has it Harrisonville 28 Kearney 27.

So what do you guys think?

Not a clue here, frankly. This is by far the freakiest, hardest to figure season in memory and I have a feeling more shocking results are coming this Holiday weekend.

I would guess Kearney 35 Harrisonville 21. But if Kearney has another game with 75+ yards in penalties (especially all the red zone ones), I'd say 28-21 Kearney or possible OT. I'd give Kearney the advantage in an OT shootout.

21 points is the most Harrisonville has given up since the 10 turnover game against Platte County. So unless we turn the ball over 10 times I personally don't see us giving up 30 plus points in this one. And if you look at Kearney's last 2 game results those were both tight ball games. This should be a pretty close ball game. Should be a great defensive game by both teams. IMO

Kearney: seven games with teams ranked 3,000 or better in US. Average: 33-20. (5 of 7 with K scoring > 23.)

Harrisonville: three games with teams ranked 3,000 or better. Average: 20-37 (2 opponemts scoring 21 or more.)

But last year: 17-14. Could be a tight game.

Pulling for Harrisonville... I'd like to see the small end of a class win the championship... Hasn't happend too often in recent history... Don't know how enrollments fell this year, but last year Webb and Kearney were #1/#2 in Class 4... Would be cool for Harrisonville to knock them both off

I think those games were tight because of red zone penalties and dropped passes (not made during most of the season.) Just like I would throw out those three H losses, I would also figure a +7 to +14 that K left on the table if they just play an average game (in the Hannibal and Ladue games.)

That leaves us with a pretty tight game.

It was only a +6 turnover game vs. PC. PC threw three picks.

Rooting for Harrisonville. They knocked off the Webbies. Time to knock off the purple K heads. So sweet if that happens.

Plus, Kearney had trouble with a bad bad Hannibal team and could barely put away a mediocore Ladue team.

Stamp. It.

Ladue beat a Class 5 finalist, I think they're better than mediocre. But I get your overall point

Without a pick six or a special teams TD, Harrisonville won't get more than 14. 28-14 Kearney.

Harrisonville running game probably the fourth or fifth best K has seen. Kearney special teams better. Achilles heel for K are dropped passes and penalties in the red zone. Harrisonville pass defense is very suspect. Slight edge to H for line play on the inside.

K had better not let #29 get the edge like that Hannibal RB did............

#29 broke one for 73 yards for a TD in 2nd quarter on Webb. Missed tackles made that happen. The Webb game wasn't so much won by H, as given away by Webb. H capitalized. After watching that game, I'd say if they played 10 times, Webb would win 7 or 8 games.

Not taking a thing away from Webb City in that ball game, but Harrisonville lead the whole game. If Harrisonville doesn't fumble down around the 10 going in they possibly win by 2 scores. On Selemaea's 73 yard TD run that was 3 wicked stiff arms that prevented defenders from tackling him. If anything did Webb City in in that game it was penalties on 3rd downs killing drives offensively, and some days that's just part of the game, but dismissing the other teams play and effort to get their breaks in the game is ignorance on your part.

A Pick six and two broken plays gave H 20 points. Webb's passing game was terrible. Webb missed several opportunities. Webb killed themselves with penalties. I don't see how anyone watches that game objectively and doesn't think Webb gave it away.

No that means Hville won. End of story. Not sure exactly what issues you have with Hville in general but they haven't been "very beatable" for 8 games, regardless of what happened v Platte County and Excelsior Springs which appear to be your benchmarks.

No doubt Kearney is very good but right now, so is Hville.

You had to bring up pens.................did you see the K-Ladue game last Saturday? :(

Yeah, that means H got away with one. It also means they are very beatable.
I haven't seen one team in C4 this year that wasn't...................no lockdown defenses this year so any game is wide open between any of about half a dozen of the top ones this year. K and HVille are very fortunate to be the two left standing.

Hville has 29 interceptions on the year as a defense. I don't see that as being too suspect. Rather, I see that as being good.

Kearney stop #29 and on Offense get the ball outside and you win the game. Try running the ball inside the tackles forty times and let #29 hit a couple holes and Hville makes it very close. I like Kearney by a couple scores, maybe 28-14 or so but if Hville wins a turnover battle easily could go the other way..........

Kearney by double digits. I'm gonna say 42-24, but this season has been so weird that I wouldn't rule out anything.
