I thought you might have a second have prediction section. That's not how predictions work.
HVille did win the turnover battle. Big key to me was Kearney's identity conflicted with what they historically in the Jones era have been (solid, fast D and an efficient O): Getting the lead and dictating the pace (why they played so well vs. a very similar Platte County) was what got the Dogs here so, on a calm clear night, it did not make sense to me for K to defer to the second half. I told scout4u it was questionable and, sure enough, they gave up the big runs on the edge and were down 7-0 and never fully recovered. NO sour grapes just a game observation.................the Wildcats are without a doubt a very deserving C4 champ tonight!Kearney stop #29 and on Offense get the ball outside and you win the game. Try running the ball inside the tackles forty times and let #29 hit a couple holes and Hville makes it very close. I like Kearney by a couple scores, maybe 28-14 or so but if Hville wins a turnover battle easily could go the other way..........
I would agree with you 100%. Definitely not what I was expecting or have seen from Kearney in the past. I felt like Harrisonville could have ran to the outside all game long. I know they were using #29 as a decoy and I think Kearney was selling out to stop him, which gave the other RB, Bowers, the edge all night. The biggest surprise, however, was on offense, where all it seemed Kearney had was a QB. All they did was snap it to him and let him try to make a play every down. Not having watched a lot of the Kearney games, was this their normal offense or did they have a normal running game?HVille did win the turnover battle. The RBs are very talented but inexperienced (#1 is a Jr. and the feature back #34 Connery is K's next major league back and a Soph.) and the O Line had lots of trouble vs. even average D lines this year. I expect in 2017 you will see a more traditional K offense and the next two classes are pretty stacked so they should be better up front, too.I would agree with you 100%.
