Down to QB3 for the second half Logan really dialed up the plays when needed and changed up to the wildcat I was calling for in the stands and interchanged then THIS QB completes the pass that all but sealed it. Gritty isn't even an apt word for what that effort was..............A bounce back for KMO. Very interesting hmmmmm

I think give Minnick a full week with him absolutely. Has a good, accurate arm just needs some work as would be expected. Next week is gonna likely be vanilla city anyway in Smithville given where these two should be come November.Down the two best junior players now. Play with a third String QB?
Yes. Coming along very well from what I understand. EVERYTHING offensively changes then...............but losing Noland is gonna sting. He will not be back.Is the Kearney qb that was injured last week expected back this season?
That sucks for Noland. Is he a senior?Yes. Coming along very well from what I understand. EVERYTHING offensively changes then...............but losing Noland is gonna sting. He will not be back.
No he is a Junior. QB3 #18 is a Soph. That sucks for Noland. Is he a senior?
The COOLEST part of the evening was seeing Skylar attend this one............Is the Kearney qb that was injured last week expected back this season?
What is the array of offensive weapons for Fort? All we hear about is Peppers?Interesting tidbit after digesting these first two weeks: Everyone in KTown is focused on QB injuries (and rightly so as they seem to rack up) but the flip side is the DEFENSE. One of if not the fastest I've ever seen here. Platte County put 43 on Smithville and Fort Osage put 42 on Grain Valley. Mark it down all these teams are serious contenders in C4-5. Kearney has pitched first half shutouts in both.
Fort has an array of offensive weapons and Platte has a future major star QB and their usual assortment of spread weapons. I would bet, barring major injuries, both average 35+ this season.

QB is raw but promising. Another Pennamon at WR. They have another very good RB sorry didn't bring the program home a Fort person could tell everyone. Pays to remember they had Grain Valley beat just let them get away. What is the array of offensive weapons for Fort? All we hear about is Peppers?
Key for Fort moving forward is diversity not just handing off to your aforementioned Peppers hoping he eventually wears down the D and/or busts loose. When they went into urgency mode it worked well for them in the second half.QB is raw but promising. Another Pennamon at WR. But how will it be when the weather cools off?One of if not the fastest I've ever seen here.
I tend to agree! Won't nearly get away with this when they visit Smithville this Friday.Interesting to see how Kearney does when they don't cough up the ball. This made it even harder for their D.
Vs. PC 5 turnovers
Vs. Fort 2 turnovers.

Interesting tidbit Ambroson has been there since 2015 only ONCE have the Warriors lost two in a row (Weeks 7-8 of 2016 to Maryville and Chillicothe). Kearney is gonna have its hands full will be interesting to see what Minnick comes up with now that we are down to QB3 who I actually liked for being thrown into that second half situation last Friday.
Kearney starting a third-string QB. Among a couple of other key injuries, they don't have Noland now, who can match speed with Coleman. Noticed Smithville could not run on PC for some reason. Like 23 total yards off 18 attempts. But they aired it out for 290. Timing patterns. SV QB has the ball is out in 1.5 seconds or less most of the time. Find our spot and get picks. Or they burn out some big TDs. Not sure K can generate the O to stay with the couple of home runs SV will get. I would agree that Kearney is missing three of their top six football players for this game. They will have two, maybe three of them back for the playoffs.
2019. They played back to back games. Smithville won in blowout fashion in the final regular season game then they rematched to that 60-45 score you mentioned. Zero point zero D in the second half of that one. It was like watching a tennis match.I'm more excited this week. KMO has historically always been defensively superior to a lot of schools. I am a fan of how fast and physical they are. Just look at the Noland kid last season who could make a bad read (rarely) and with speed be in the perfect spot.
KMO and Smithville this week will be interesting what transpires. Rivalries are all sorts of messed up in game play. I recall a few years ago in almost back-to-back weeks KMO and Sville playing. 1st matchup: Sville wins in a nailbiter of a defensive game. 2nd matchup is was a scoring fest where Sville won 60 to 42 (something close to that). It was a wild night as we saw from PC and Smithville.
If Hot Moms stays healthy on D we can see KMO march to a district championship game again, if not win and march on to the C4 championship.
Kearney has to get healthy. This season is beginning to feel like 2014 where they came in with a great roster that had one top player injured after another. Somehow, some way Jones and staff got that team to the C4 semifinals where they faced what JRod even called his best team ever. Hung in for awhile but got overwhelmed in the second half.I'm more excited this week. KMO has historically always been defensively superior to a lot of schools. Smithville can be passed on. If Kearney were full strength would love that matchup. Not this regular season go around, though. What Minnick will be able to come up with in this one escapes me............Oh sure, you tell me Smithville's excuse for giving up 43 to Platte County? Also, I did not see any reference to 8-man here, shoeshine boy.
Pennamon is pretty young, SO I believe. Will he turn out better than the one that graduated last year? Looks like he may already be same size or bigger.Key for Fort moving forward is diversity not just handing off to your aforementioned Peppers hoping he eventually wears down the D and/or busts loose. Never considered this one. Fort by all they want. It was only close last year because Menne was out.Pennamon is pretty young, SO I believe. Will he turn out better than the one that graduated last year? Looks like he may already be same size or bigger.
FO plays Belton this week, seems like their games are always fairly close. Any idea how the teams match up this week?
Smithville could not run, at all. PC also spotted SV short field two times with turnovers.I didn't go to the Smithville PC game but watched it on youtube while at another game. What I thought was true bears out from the maxpreps scoretracker. Smithville couldn't get off the field on 3rd down. These are some of the distances PC converted. I would be surprised if that happens again.
3&10, 3&16, 3&15, 3&14, 3&18, 3&14
Marriott and this young PC offense are coming along fast. Going to be very interesting to see how they fare Week 4 hosting Grain Valley. That one, by all accounts, could be 40+ a side like the Eagles' opener vs. Fort O.I didn't go to the Smithville PC game but watched it on youtube while at another game.
