I think if there are injuries it was an accident...like a fake punch actually landed
I'm hearing they are all playing friday night. Coming from one of the parents that has a kid that plays for Joplin. They was back in school today and they are at practice right now.The injuries are in question but the kid was laughing the whole time. I guess they fake attacked a kid every so often. The kid won't go to school because he is so upset this got out.

Just watched that video... those kids never should have been suspended in the first place.heard the same thing
No no no. You must've missed it. They were just playing around. Fake punch lead to broken bones and a concussion. Nothing to see here.Any player contact or code from the coach??!!
If my senior “leaders” allowed this to happen, with the possibility of it getting out of hand there’d be problems.
Now it’s being said this isn’t the first time?! Behavior from the Webb game sure makes more sense now…

This is the only place I've heard this. But I know the kids are back in school, I've heard ISS, and they're playing Friday. So, I highly doubt the accuracy of this post.Kid that was attacked has concussion and a couple broken bones……. School board has been having almost nightly meetings regarding incident. Not looking good for players returning this week.
If they are in ISS are they allowed to practice/play though I know most places they are notThis is the only place I've heard this. But I know the kids are back in school, I've heard ISS, and they're playing Friday. So, I highly doubt the accuracy of this post.
I, too, have heard it was mostly horseplay (not defending what they did) and a punch was landed.

looks like in Joplin's handbook it says the same thingyes...the coc is like the sec. it just means more.
Seems crazy to me the school would allow kids in ISS to do anything. However, I have heard of a few crazy school policies in my day. A co worker of mine told me that Webb city has some crazy strict dress code and they still give kids swats!! Can't believe any school gets away with that stuff in this day and age.
According to their handbook:
I have seen the video.. no way in hell anybody had broken bones or a concussion.According to their handbook:
2. Knowingly causing or attempting to
cause serious bodily injury or death
to another person, recklessly causing
serious bodily injury to another
person, or any other act that consti-
tutes assault in the first or second
degree.
First Offense: 10-180 days out-of-school
suspension or expulsion.
I would think the horseplay that has been talked about would fall under the recklessly causing serious bodily injury to another person (horseplay in the locker room, pretending to jump someone, or whatever the description of the event actually is). Resulted in broken bones. First offense on this should be 10-180 OSS.
suspension or expulsion.
Put it to rest folks, it wasn’t that bad, a Karen mom took issue to the boys who got carried away and threatened the school. The coach and AD was angry based on what they saw. Made the boys sit to calm down the Karen mom.I have seen the video.. no way in hell anybody had broken bones or a concussion.
Even the "victim" is laughing and carrying on in the video. The most these kids did was use curse words.
i see what u did thereIn this case, it seems that a wrong turns always right....

Yep I had to take my daughter a pair of sweats to wear one day while she was in school at Webb because she was in violation of the dress code. I got there she had on a knee length skirt, long sleeve white blouse and a business jacket. Trouble was there was about a 2" slit on the bottom of the skirt and slits are not allowed lol.Seems crazy to me the school would allow kids in ISS to do anything. and no hats unless its crazy hat dayI have been told Webb bans shorts. CJ has a reputation of being strict and they don't even do that.
