Landis said on the broadcast he expects full strength vs nixa.
I heard charges are pending. If that is the case according to MSHSAA they CAN NOT play until these charges are cleared up. Now this is all hearsay, but if they are charged, then they can’t play.
Further proof how terrible that school district is in Joplin. Those kids should not see the field the rest of the year. Webb QB gets caught vaping and he's out for half the season. Kids on video physically assaulting another, just misses one game. Way to Joplin.
Snowflake parents same reason why Maryville not Maryville this year. Some parents dont like the coach political views and pulled their kids to kick the round futball this year.
Those guys were just in the state title game last year... WTH happened that parents would pull their kids out. In a town like that they should never do that. You don't teach your kids responsibility and finishing what you started if they pull them in the middle of the season. It is not right.
Let me clarify. Did not pull them during the season. But were on team last (some even starters). 3 or 4 kids total. (But made Maryville soccer team great this year).
Maryville which use to be more of a melting pot has turned into a crock pot with two sides like this country.
You have your rural country kids and whiskey tangos on one side and you have your well off and liberal influenced kids on the other side (Alot of university facility have kids in high school) very liberal beliefs on campus don't mesh with the community.
Alot of left vs right going on even down to the hs level. Alot of pro trump vs anti trump type things.
as mentioned,same as pretty much the rest of the country. its a shame the country has to hate your neighbor just because people have different ideas and opinions. its going to get worse before better.

If nothing else I'm sure this incident will reinforce the narrative some of my webb family and friends like to push about joplin.

i was told some high level sponsors saw the video and said if thats all there was they better be playing friday night.
the ones giving the most $$$. they usually have more sway than the smaller donors. pretty simple really
