Joplin at Webb,,,,who you got??

Lets wait and see who dresses out. Wasnt hoplin without their qb rb and lt? Webb will be without top 2 rb and prob a lb if not more

If joplin is missing 2 of their 5 stars, I'll go with WC.

The soph qb actually looked pretty good. The oline played well except for some penalties accrued middle of the game. Jones got nicked up and played with a limp but was still a threat and scored afterwards. If WC can get Joplin's D to gas out with long drives i think they win this. Will be a raucous crowd and great atmosphere.

When did the Webb running backs get hurt ? I watched the game but somehow missed both of them getting hurt . I just noticed they weren't playing

Webb starting RBs out is very unfortunate and I feel for them.
Jasper has.the answers for WCs offense. Joplin by 3.

Doesn't WC have like 15 running backs? I exaggerate but losing starting 2 RBs for most teams would be a death sentence; for WC it's next man up. Give 2 back-ups a full week's worth of practices as No. 1 and No.2 and they will do good - I've heard really good things about #19.

However, Joplin is WC's kryptonite.

Joplin by 14.

Stamp it.

At the start of the season I would have picked Joplin for 5. After seeing Joplin and their key injuries vs how WC was playing I would have gone with WC, to me they looked like contender for the best team in the COC even though they lost week 1 to Nixa. Now WC is missing a couple key pieces. However it's WC and they are perhaps better equipped to deal with injuries than any other COC team. I don't think it will matter for any remaining COC game except possibly this one.

It's a tough one, both teams are offensively limited, on paper at least. May come down to which teams defense performs. Webb's defense seems to have allowed more points than is typical but they've also played a couple pretty tough teams. Joplin's defense appears better than usual.

Who knows how this will play out, I'm interested to see. I kinda think Mac is going to snap the curse of the eagles Friday.

True freaking story
They are all good enough to where if you don't play well or turn it over a lot or just have an off night .....the worst team in the coc can push the best team . Hell Carthage is 0-3 . I guarantee they are pretty damn good . They have had some bad luck and are young . Nixa , Joplin , Webb and Republic are the best teams in the conference but any team in the coc COULD beat them if they play bad

CJ will likely finish in the bottom half of the conference but if they could come up with some answers for their defense over the next several games, they could be a tough out come playoff time.

CJ needs more of an answer for their passing game than for their D. Their first district game will likely be their easiest game of the year.

3 things can happen when you throw the football……..

Your opponent doesn’t score, they don’t win.

All I know is if you don't throw the ball effectively the D puts 10 guys near the line of scrimmage. That is 1 thing.

If you try to throw the ball but the skill level of either the passer, receiver, or both is low, they'll still put 10 near the LOS.

You need to be able to pass the ball. Whether you don't try or you try and are bad at it doesn't matter.

I tend to think that it does matter and it shouldn't be something that you focus much of your offensive energy on in-season (it would definitely be something to focus on in the offseason, though, so that it doesn't continue to be a problem going forward). If you can't actually execute the play, it is a wasted play, and the defense isn't going to respect it anyway. And why would they? You might hit an accidental one here or there, but why would a D coordinator focus on something you don't do well? And why would an offensive coordinator continue to call plays that have way lower probability of gaining yards? This is not to say that it should be completely abandoned, but a few times a game at most is about all. Also, keep in mind that the very specific situation I'm talking about is when you have receivers who can't catch AND a QB that can't throw at least somewhat accurately, a situation that I've seen a couple times.

Does WC have much of a passing game this year or mostly lining up and pounding it.

Will Webb throw more now? I assume Johnson gets the ball more now.
