My son has been practicing a few weeks now, but it sure seems like we are moving to a virtual school format statewide through Christmas. If they do, I hope they just make it a spring sport and not bag it all together. That would be devastating to so many kids. If you want to see kids completely check out, taking away the carrot of their favorite sport will cause grades to plummet even worse than they are for many.

Since MSHSAA has left it in the hands of county health departments, different counties will have different rules and regulations.

I believe some schools will have nearly full seasons, but nearly all schools will lose games in some capacity, with others not being able to finish their seasons (like many schools in fall sports this year).

Right now is a good time NOT to be a school AD...

Probably be like the football season with more chaos. Several games canceled, some fill in teams when possible, and forfeits during tournament play. Will be controlled chaos at best I hope all the kids get as many games as possible. The virtual learning shouldn’t impact games
