That’s going to suck for a lot of schools. Not only Lamar. We’d need a new district or something. Mean with all due respect Lamar wouldn’t play anyone in that situation. Nothing to prepare for districts beyond.
Playing just your district schools for entire regular season schedule is just dumb. Lamar doesn't need to be playing Versailles and California in the regular season just because they are in the same district.
I don’t think Rogersville will ever be in a conference with bolivar again. Bolivar is hated by all of the old small COC schools. Evidently Bolivar’s administration was really hard to deal with. They weren’t invited to the Big 8 when the small COC schools left. That’s why they were independent for a few years until a desperate Ozark Conference begrudgingly invited them to join after Joplin left for greener pastures.

As I’ve said before Bolivar and CJ should start their own conference 😂
works well for folks in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, etc You would still get to schedule 3 games against anyone you want
Bolivar used to have an Athletic Director that was hard to deal with.
At a time when many schools budgets are stretched financially it just doesn't make sense to bus kids all over the state to play district games when the system we have now works. Many smaller schools who struggle the most financially don't have the budget to buss kids all over the state on Fridays, Monday's for three hours to satisfy some peoples needs to play district games when the outcome again is the same with our current format.
Yes we should worry about that, forget that Missouri ranks last out of all states in teacher pay.
