Then Mo will pat himself on the back when we finish 8 games out of the playoffs.

I see know way the Birds finish within 8 games of a playoff spot
They've been within 8 games of the top team in the division all year, why couldn't they hang around that mark if not better? They win just enough to keep pushing the top 1 or 2 and I don't seem them playing 10 or 12 games over .500 the rest of the season to actually make a move on the Cubs. I don't see them falling to the bottom either with the pitching they have, especially of Rosie keeps closing out the close ones.

They did nothing to improve them selves and the Cubs made 3 positive moves. This race is over and MO more or less admitted it by doing nothing.:( The Cubs are playing better and the Birds are still playing very average baseball.

It would be one thing if we were closer to the wildcard, not just the Cubs, but D Backs and Rockies are pretty far ahead of us.

What was Mo supposed to do, pretend we aren't more likely than not to miss the playoffs? We're 2/3rds of the way through the season.

They better be ready to do some work this offseason, this roster isn't good enough.
