According to MSHSAA schedule they were playing tonight. Anyone have a score.

Wow. Good for Fair Grove. Wasn’t Link supposed to be able to compete on the National level.

Meyer girl from Thayer could have stayed at Thayer and come about that close to Fair Grove

How are the local girls doing for Link. I knew a player from Thayer was there and Grant from Nixa. Isn’t there a girl from Chadwick as well.

I know Fair Grove is really good but Link should be able to beat them

Supposedly. But the cost is prohibitive. And there’s no carrot for the girls. 3k a month, for 10 months for the girls program. With no national competition to play. The girls from Thayer and Chadwick are marginal D2 players. The 2 from Kickapoo are exceptionally “meh.” Link girls program almost shut down this year. I’ll get surprised if it lives for 2 more years.

I just hate to see kids give up on playing high school basketball unless they are legit power conference college players.

I do not understand the parents of these local girls sending them to Link, especially at that cost. What kind of promises are the Link coaches making to get these girls to go there. I would bet every local girl that goes there winds up regretting it. Wish them the best but them and their parents are getting some bad advice.

Yep it is crazy. Just like the big post kid from Forsyth. They are sold a dream that becomes a nightmare.

The kid from Forsyth couldn't even dominate Carl Junction who doesn't have a player over 6-2.

Pretty sure WP Boys beat Forsyth the other night and they were not supposed to be good(WP I mean).

That Baird kid who left Link and went back to Forsyth was actually supposed to be a Hillcrest kid. I believe his father passed away when he was in 8th grade and after that year the rest of the family moved to Forsyth.

Crazy to think if he woulda stayed that Hillcrest would be 6’10 and 6’7 in the post this year.

And still not be any good.

Fair Grove and Link represent two contrasting approaches to education and community engagement, each with its own strengths. Fair Grove is often characterized by its close-knit, rural environment that fosters strong community ties and personalized through name combiner learning experiences. In contrast, Link emphasizes innovation and adaptability, catering to a diverse population with cutting-edge technology and broader extracurricular opportunities.
