I had to predict what will happen at all games just to get to records i dont want to predict too much on score other than GV wins by 13 or more and so does carthage with that being said I have seedings and final records as follows
Carthage 8-1
Grain Valley 6-3
Webb City 4-5
Neosho 5-4
Raytown 5-4
Ruskin 5-4
Belton 3-6

I did predict Ruskin to beat Belton if that doesnt happen that would obviously flip them 2.

Week 1 playoffs
Carthage bye
Grain Valley host Belton = Grain Valley wins
Webb City host Ruskin = Webb City Wins
Neosho host Raytown = Neosho Wins

Week 2 Playoffs
Carthage host Neosho = Carthage wins
Grain Valley host Webb City = GV wins if Palmer healthy , WC wins if Palmer not

Week 3 Playoffs
Carthage host GV/WC = Carthage win

Week 4 playoffs
Platte County Host Carthage = PC wins and D7 eliminated

Thanks for the read, its all an opinion don't overreact in your disagreement post lol

What is the most points a team can make up on another team this week if 1 team wins and the team ahead of them loses? My math says 2.5 or so points

No they can actually move quite a bit at the point differential as a 26 point swing between the two divided over 9 games is a 2.88, there is also the play up points can factor in if someone plays up 2 classes that would be a 2.22 swing. That is just 2 of the 4 factors that go into it and obviously if someone was to get max down and someone max up then you could see big swing.

I am actually predicting a decent point swing in C5 D7 as I think GV gets 10 play up points and a +13 differential while Neosho gets 0 play up and a -13 differential.

Ok. I was doing this with no play up points

If I had to guess this is the scenario Carthage is hoping for.

Unless Neosho upsets Carthage I think you all host Webb City in the district semifinals. Tomorrow's Belton-Ruskin game is pure pride both are gonna get eliminated first round so will Raytown who is gonna likely get turboed at PC tomorrow.

The injury situation with your RB and where Webb stands with all of theirs swings that one I would put in the tossup category as of today.

Agreed, I don't think Carthage will allow an upset and I think they will make sure to get the +13 to drop neosho to 4 and make sure WC doesn't end up on their plate til week 12 or not at all.

Agree with all 3 of belton, raytown,Ruskin losing in week 10 and raytown getting turbo in 9.

Word on the street is Palmer is fully resting not even practicing and GV will use the other slippery back sjoren (sp?) And the kid I'm higher on Dowhower.

I would assume this continues through week 10 as well that way he can be as healthy as possible for WC in week 11.

As of today District 8 will be my attendance spot for their semi and final Weeks 11-12. Fort Osage at St. Pius X then that winner at Platte County.

Parallel in that Week 10 looks real non-competitive in that district, too.

Don't see any scenarios, as of today, that take me to see the ole Alma Mater before Thanksgiving weekend..................

Yeah looking at it you are right D7 is not going to throw up anything good.

I'd like to see that Fort O Pius game but not enough for us to lose in week 10 lol

Actually I think D7 will be quite competitive but lean toward 8 because of proximity to home plus thinking the winner of that one has an advantage in a C5 quarterfinal I will attend pending one C6 tilt's scheduled time and date (Nixa at Lee's Summit North should it happen).

My bad I meant D7 in C4 won't throw any comp up for you so you have to wait til following week for a most likely LN matchup.

All good got it now, cards, and tend to agree. My main interest there is who wins D7. If anyone but the top seed (two games will swing this big time tomorrow night) advances Kearney hits the road then HOSTS Lutheran North in the semis assuming both get there.

I have, since this season began to unfold, had the feeling that semi would feel and look a lot like St. Mary's at Smithville two years ago but perhaps with a different result we can discuss IF IF IF this actually plays out.

I have no commitments beyond when GV exits but plan on being in attendance unless the freezer isn't full by then.

Getting a few moments to peek at MSHSAA and the upcoming playoffs looking deeper here if form holds how about Platte County at MICDS for a semifinal in STL?

It was just three years ago Dr. Fred and the Rams hosted soon to become champ Smithville in maybe the best C4 semifinal of all time...............

Oddly I took a ride up to Leavenworth for some work earlier and that gave me time to reflect on the season a bit. I came out of it less certain about PC. The Smithville win gives me the only ounce of confidence from them. I am now less bullish on them walking to the state final like I was just a few weeks ago.

I have seen flashes of a competitive team out of GV all year( playing with PC for 3 qtrs, starting K game bad and still fighting) but just have not seen it all align. My fear is it's not going to they are a decent team with Palmer at 100% but can go nowhere if they don't figure out how to pass.

Carthage is giant upfront, the games i seen they are terrible at using their size but they still come out on top. If they figure that size out and use it to beat up on PC o line(if that lines up) they could cause trouble.

Gonna be a interesting ride next few weeks.

Especially this time of year I warn about BLOWOUT REMATCHES. That would work in GV's favor especially given it was actually a close game until the 4th quarter BUT you all have to get there first. Teams that have not played PC like Pius will have a much tougher time preparing for their offense especially the super JR QB. Fort also has played PC and weren't dominated so there is also that.

Agree everything is about this upcoming month plus!

If Peppers is playing and somewhat healthy Fort could upset plenty of plans a little later.

St. Pius just entered the chat room... ;)
They are welcome and should be a game but my guess is they get their walking papers Friday. One thing that works in their favor is PC ain't played a team with a pulse in weeks
