I did a lil digging on this Colquitt supposed cannon fodder at Trinity!

Oh the Doc Guys arent afraid of anything! If you wanna have a "chat" about this, why dont you come on down to the Ampipe pool hall? We can have a nice little talk! Just ask Stef about those chats!

I know ALL about you Keynote Staters! One of my running mates in the military, was a lil punk from Export! And my former sis in law is from Ephrata!

Wow...this Georgia team ain't nothing compared to PA tough...real football. Look at the computer pick:
PROJECT A MATCHUP

neutral field
[2017] Ampipe (PA) 72, [2017] Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA) 7

But with all the D1 talent at Ampipe (three players going to Cal Poly and the super star QB going to USC) it makes perfect sense.

Yeah, lets put ANY credence into a prognosticator who doesn't even know the location of Colquitt COUNTY High School! Jist fer giggles though! Norman Park, with a population of 1100, doesn't even have a traffic light!

And i dont care . You scheduled a game with a team that isnt even in the top 50 in MO. They didnt make it out of their district last year.

Trinity was one of the Top 3 teams in Class 2 last year. The only loses they had the last 2 years were to Lamar and Lutheran North. Both of whom were head and shoulders above most teams in the State, outside of the premier programs in the larger classes. That was last year, though. I believe Trinity is overmatched against Colquitt County as well, but the argument that they're not a good team because they didn't win their district is misleading. They didn't win their district because Lutheran North was in their district. That's like saying a dominant program in SWMO isn't good because they couldn't get past Lamar. There were plenty of larger schools that wouldn't schedule games vs Trinity or Lutheran North for this upcoming season. The only reason people didn't run from playing Lamar is because Lamar's schedule doesn't have any open dates for them to fill. Don't mislead yourself into thinking Missouri schools aren't wary of playing Trinity. That includes Lamar and Lutheran North.

While I agree to some extent downplaying Trinity as a program outside the top 50 is misleading, they are still a Class 2 program that didn't even win their district going up against a National Championship player year in and year out. It's a mismatch and shouldn't be played IMO, and I believe that's the singular point being made here.

I'm inclined to agree with you. Colquitt should hand Trinity a serious beat down. I'm going on the record that, should Trinity not get blown out or ... even beat the longest of odds and win this game, it will settle the question of (for that game, at least) whether they are "for real". As far as the whole "didn't even make it out of their district" argument goes, I'm sure there are plenty of legit teams that would've gone much deeper into the playoffs if they hadn't been unfortunate enough to be in the same districts as Lamar and Lutheran North. But, yes ... it's true ... Trinity didn't win Districts last year.

That 54th is a good ranking for a class 2 school in a state with 6 classes, who didn't get to play a full schedule because of schools ducking them. They lose 5 contributors off last year's district runner up and possibly get an upgrade at HC?

They may break top 50 this year.☺

They may do that...but really, a team that would rank in the top 8 (in all classes) in Missouri year in and year out would not schedule Trinity...neither should a team from another state.

Colquitt plays whomever steps up! We have SEVEN non conference games to fill every season! And THIS season, teams who stepped up were Valdosta, Grayson(alma mater of Robert Nkemdiche), Warner Robins, Thomasville, and TRINITY! There is some tall timber in that group! And I applaud Trinity for taking us on! Jist for those who aren't familiar, among those other no conference games, are teams who have won nine NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!

That thought harkens back to my days at ole Moultrie High School! My junior year, we lost to the Valdosta Wildcats, 7-0 in regular season! And with only one team from each conference making the playoffs, we spent the playoffs at home! Valdosta went on to defeat Forest Park out of Atlanta 37-12, in the state championship! And Valdosta was went on to be anointed as the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! That happened five more times during Packer history, with the CATS getting that Natty six times! And until more than one team made the playoffs, starting in 1990, few people outside of Georgia had ever heard of our Packers! But when we get to the playoffs, we are fairly dangerous! That Mill Creek team that we put 51 on in the semis, was ranked #25 in the country, and was giving up 6.5 points per game, through thirteen games! Yeah, we were pretty good in 2015, as we sent twenty six players to the next level, from a rural public school in Southwest Georgia!!

How about your head coach getting caught head butting someone!? Or the town throwing a fit when a college tries to hire him? What kind of a town wants a man like that coaching kids!?
