How is this kid Eligible to play?

No I don’t have the previously found information on me. I have a life I gotta get back to. I at least realize I’ve been spending far too much time arguing on the internet.
So you don't know. I'm sorry you wasted your time, it must be frustrating to make up unsubstantiated allegations.

I don't think you read my posts. That's OK.
At any rate, this kid is eligible (the main topic of this thread) why should he be deemed ineligible?
Because he clearly stated he moved back to St Louis to play football. Transferring for sports reasons means you are not eligible for 365 days.

Pretty much black and white.

To get back into this conversation...

My point is if its just one student that transfers to a school for family or whatever reason I do not have an issue.

But when you have what happen at Trinity and now at Cardinal Ritter where at least 6 division 1 recruited students all a sudden transfer to same school. That is called COLLUSION.

While Trinity coach freely acknowledged that he brought the kids to the school. I don't know if same for Cardinal Ritter. Sometimes parents and kids themselves get together on these matters.

My friend is an administrator in one of the other schools in the AAA conference. The "haves" and "have nots" schools are not all one big happy conference in the competitive balance of the league.

That's not what was reported. Try again.
He said he wanted to move home so his family and friends could see him play football. He could move to any high school in America, but his home is near Cardinal Ritter. Maybe he has no other choice than to live with his mom. Dad may not be an option. I'm glad for the kids sake, you're not in charge of determining eligibility for high school football players. It's not that you care about his motives or intent, you care because you're jealous and resentmentful of private schools.

Why does there have to be a competitive balance? In virtually every part of life, there's a structure of bottom tier members, middle and a small number of exceptional. If I go to Dr. I'm going to choose the exceptional Dr. I'm not going to choose the competitive Dr. and certainly not the loser. I'm not saying that loading up on exceptional is fair. Perhaps corruption has occurred. How about the other teams get better? Typically in life, if you fail you tend to bring upon yourself more failure. That's why we have perennial losers. We also have perennial winners, that always seem to win. How would you justify changing the system? Because you're losing or because of their winning and your not? Toughen up snowflakes.

Ten years ago Vashon was stripped of three state championships in basketball for exactly the kind of things going on in football in St Louis today.

It will take someone writing a book about it like happened back then before it is stopped

Funny thing after the Vashon mess MSHSAA swore to the state they would investigate all reported violations and not just violations reported by school administrators but that didn’t last long

Exactly, he moved because of football which is a pretty clear violation.

I don’t see anywhere in the handbook where moving for football because my granny can see me play is not a violation.

The kid was a small fish in a big pond and wanted to move back to St Louis and play where he would get done press

I'd be worried more about what I can control. The world is full of rich successful celebrities that have problems. Some are drug addicted messes, and many have committed suicide. Winning is not all that's cracked up to be. The dangerous people are those that want invoke what they think is right for everyone. Some are not smart. An example would be mofootball23. I'm sure he's a nice kid, but not smart.

Dude he’s a troll at this point. Don’t take the bait. Only fisty knows anything. There’s no point. And his life revolves around arguing on the internet.

So you can't articulate your opinion in a cogent way. So you make personal attacks, which by definition is trolling.

I made my point. I can’t help you can’t use the internet. When I pointed that out, and made my statement I was in a conversation that didn’t involve you. And I haven’t had the sources since last year on my phone. I don’t have to look them up for you. I’ll ask again, are you that lazy? I know the lack of comprehensive skills shows with you. But come on fisty! I’m sure you can use the internet on your phone.

Your the one that made the outrageous allegations and attacks on private schools. Quite frankly, these are complicated issues, and you have no idea how to write an argument to support them. I won't bother, for already I know your opinion is false, and I'm not missing any pertinent information. I'm sorry you're frustrated. Message boards may not be your thing.

I’m not. I’m actually ashamed I engaged at any point with you. You sound offended though ironically. Did you go to one? Maybe that’s why. You won’t bother? Yeah, that’s definitely a know nothing kind of response. I won’t go look, but hey I’m correct. Boards are definitely not your thing. See ya fisty I’m sure you will respond though. Lmfao.

They had apartments at Staley for a QB.
Exactly. Doing away with private schools by forcing them to play each other, will not stop cheating. Staley is a public school. Cheating will be replaced by a different group. Those that propose private schools should be regulated because they cheat, need to look in the mirror. Any system will have winners and losers. This isn't about cheating, recruiting, unfairness, moral high ground or religious affiliations and the SOCAS. This about losing, jealousy and getting your butt kicked by better football teams.

When did Ritter or Trinity EVER win a State Championship in football? When it comes to people crying about MSHSAA and private schools in STL, it’s “OMG! They’re CHEATING!” then “It doesn’t matter anyway because small communities are morally better” then “Why don’t OUR kids get recruited like those kids in STL?!” then “Well, player ratings don’t mean anything. The whole system is RIGGED!”

Ok you admit to schools cheating thanks! Lol And private playing private allows cheating to happen where it doesn’t matter the outcome. You could have recruited more. Level playing field. Your solution is nothing. Mine solves most of the problems presented. Is everything about you lazy? Or?

You can tell the season’s about to start when public school fans start crying about private schools. I LOVE it!

“But, but, but ... it’s NOT FAIR!”

There was a time when these boards were a place where adults could converse (and even disagree) like adults about a common topic we are all passionate about (that’s why this site, along with LinkedIn, constitute my only social media presence online...)

Now this site’s just another corner of the internet infested by trolls (with a few exceptions, of course).

You just have to be judicious about not engaging once you realize who they are (because even if you thoughtfully point out how illogical their argument is, they will just resort to calling you a bully).

I’ve posted this before, but worth a repost:

I love how you keep editing your responses. To correspond with the STL poster who only comes on to comment on these types of posts. Gotta love it.

The West wins 70% of the titles...it must be rigged

I dont think Webb, Lamar or Kearney ever complained about beating private schools in the playoffs and championship games.

It’s not about who wins at the end of the day. That’s not solving a problem. To some it may not be a big deal. But we should want level playing fields across the board I would think. The goal is not let a oddity like Lamar and Webb be the reason you won’t do anything about it. The actual objective is to make it harder for schools to cheat. All of those schools you have mentioned are different animals. Put these private schools, same classes different states without a Lamar or Webb City to go through and watch things be different. Or just take them out of the equation. Lamar is the only school in the county right now who can say they haven’t lost a game in 49 games, 7 in a row champs. Than you have Webb City who has 15 or however many titles, and currently I believe 150 kids in the high school football program. Last I heard. It’s not a great comparison really.

Maryville does okay...and plenty of publucs win Class 6. They donimate Class 5

house for rent in Miller...looking for 6'5" QB or receiver... needs to run 40 in 4.5 or less...95 mph fastball a plus... small town atmosphere... big fish in small pond...

You’re right. They don’t. That doesn’t stop YOU guys from crying about private schools ... or other kids getting offers ... or other kids getting ranked Nationally ... or what choices other parents make for their kids. It’s funny.

Why are you so obsessed with private schools when public schools are so dominant and win the overwhelming majority of State Championships in football in Missouri? Riiiight ... it’s for “the kids” and the “integrity of the game”.

So take spots in the school and in some ways on the team from kids who don’t want to use religion and who actually believe in the schools religion for a sport? Call me crazy, but using a school for your athletic life when it’s a school for kids who want a better education and to be around religious minds similar to themselves is wrong. Using rules that other schools don’t get to use is wrong.
"to be around religious minds"...lmao
