Hhmm not sure why the police did not simply physically apprehend or tase him? The least they could have done was choke him until he would comply with commands, after all if they accidentally killed him it would have been completely justified as he is a convicted criminal with a history of trespassing.

This guy is one of the most vocal anti-government activists out there, so they seem to be scared of him when he confronts them on a weekly basis. That being said, the game was called because the home team (Caldwell) was down 35-0 at halftime. Him being a Emmett fan was justification.

It's not anti government, it's anti federal government (unless you are talking about running off the natives - those feds were heroes). And it's a widespread sentiment in the rural west. So there is a good chance the local cops are sympathetic to his positions.

I would almost compare it to the old south but instead of being told they can't enslave other human beings, they don't like being told that public land isn't a free-for-all ranch land, hunting space, or atv playground for only local residents.

Whoa.... a bit far there. Clearly these cops failed because the school did request that the remove and arrest bundy - it's on the cops for not doing their job (the steps necessary to remove the trespasser.) That said, the coach of bundy's team argued with him (for some reason) - that coach/his AD, should have told Bundy to leave (they are responsible for their parents), and told him that if he would not be allowed on their school property (home games), with actions continuing to the point of removing the kid from the team.

No need to kill the idiot and enhance his folk hero status.

I think the cops are sympathetic with the domestic terrorist groups, like the Kenosha shooter and the Michigan governor kidnap attempt. So being buds with Bundy shouldn't surprise anyone.
