Head of MSHSAA retires

and he has nine little helpers

There is probably a lot more to it than people see but having 10 full time executives and assistants seems a bit much

Yes, MSHSAA is a member of the MPSRS.

You could be right, but if that were the case, you'd think they might mention that on the job description for the open position of executive director; however, it only mentions a 401k:

5. Salary/Benefits
a. Minimum Annual Salary of $150,000; commensurate with experience and MSHSAA salary structure
b. Health Insurance; Term Life Insurance; Long Term Care Insurance
c. 401K and Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
d. Paid sick leave, personal leave and vacation leave.

I know the feeling here. I fondly remember the day I retired from the STEEL INDUSTRY!!! Its always good to spend more time with the Booster Club....I mean family.

I remember when I retired too. Some people called me a "rat." But I had a new life in the witness protection program. No, I couldn't get good pizza anymore, but I could get other things that were good--like high school football and bbq.

A a college student at MU back in the 70s and working with lab animals at the med center, I took a Norwegian Rat home. It had a cage to poop in but for the most part, it had the run of the apartment. It was able to jump from the arm of the couch to the top of the the piano, but one time he got a sip of beer and face planted on the side of the piano. He got to know when I came home from work and would perch on the top of the chair by the front door and wait for me to come home and scratch him on top of the him. That tail could really wag. Of all the lab animals I worked with, the only one that never bit me was a rat. Great pet, but they live less than 2 years.
This is nonsense to most, but so is much posted in this thread. I have worked with Dr. Urhahn and found him to be a class act and down to earth. He is an administrator and does not establish policy but follows the directions of the board.

Rather or not he is a class act or "just an administrator" it is hard to believe that he has nothing to do with MSHSAA's horrible monetization practices especially given his exorbitant salary and as such deserves to take some of the blame. I do not know him as a person and am not criticizing his character, but in my opinion he has done a poor job of managing a terribly dysfunctional organization whose main focus seemed to be keeping there payroll as high as possible for its executives.

Again, what he does is under the direction of the Board of Directors. What they do is under the direction of the principals.
