To think that any game at this point would be a given would be a foolish and potentially fatal mistake.

Platte County could easily lose to Smithville given the weather conditions coming tomorrow.............and Kearney has been yet another week-to-week mystery team this year (just like 2016). Were there any Ladue Horton Watkins fans on here they could chime in this year. I have a feeling they will be in Columbia come Turkey Day weekend.
It was a night game if memory serves me, so no sun was shining wildcat.
Another way of looking at would be that if WC gets by Camdenton then fans probably don’t need to look ahead to a Harrisonville or Kearney rematch because s state championship caliber team is 5 milee away from WC and I think they will be a tough out.
CJ isn't looking past West Plains and WC isn't looking past Camendenton. No way will WC or CJ if they win Friday look past each other. They are both to well coached and I believe each team respects each other.
we have Webb to blame for CJ fans. They get one regular season win last year and all of the sudden they are gods gift to football. How many class 4 titles do they have? How many titles in general do they have?

Number of class 4 teams to beat CJ in the last 5 years besides Webb City: 0
Synopsis: every CJ season ends once they meet Webb. Thus, their competition against Class 4 winds up limited to McDonald County, Pittsburg, Bolivar, Marshfield, Hillcrest, and West Plains. Probably one more in there somewhere but we all see the point. They have a pretty good record against Class 5 during that time too, probably near .750.
And yes, before anybody else can say it, they lost to Lamar. And they beat Lamar twice (including Lamar's last loss before their current long winning streak) and they beat all the Class 3 opponents during this 5-year run too.
Are they better than Webb or Kearney or Platte or Harrisonville? Who knows right now. But it's been a good five years and it appears to me they're peaking.
No doubt I think CJ is a quality football team but they have beat a group of non contenders in class 4(other than Webb). With all due respect to Webb they haven't won a state championship in almost three years time. Beating Webb one more time still is not worth the respect you demand. You need to win a title. There are several class 4 teams that are pretty good this year. Should be an interesting finish.

Not you TopHat. This is for hfcdawg. Last year was anything but luck for the Wildcats. Our O-line got it done against 3 great teams down the stretch last year. Trying to discredit those guys hard work with a stupid (IMO) comment about being lucky. SMH

What I understand is it was about an hour. Honestly not sure because you could see and feel Lafayette's momentum and confidence building. It simply was their night and, frankly, they deserve it after being humiliated by K among others year in and out (last year was 59-7 for instance). I only got to see three Kearney games but saw the D was in trouble against any good passing offense.
I just wondered. I was following on Score Stream and saw the lights were out. You never know how those delays affect a game. Thanks for your insight.
