Willard drops to Class 4! Interesting. In there now in the Webb district. Lebanon drops down as well.

How does the state justify having only 66 schools in the top two classes. Going off last years numbers there is only a 200 student difference between the largest class 5 school and the smallest, but in class 4 there is almost a 600 student difference in the smallest to largest. Class 4 once again has the largest difference in smallest to largest, if you look at the playoffs in the last 10 years or so, the most common factor in advancing is have a larger student enrollment.

Do you feel back at home? That district is not near as depressing as the alternative.

Feels like home.

Needs to be 48 teams each in C6 and C5 or why even have six classes? Go back to five.

Blame college students in Maryville. Housing so expensive families can't afford to live there.

Same reason why you have 7 other high schools in Nodaway county. They live there and commute to work in Maryville.

How happy are Savanah and Odessa this morning. Have fun this year because next year when the multiplier is gone Maryville goes back up.

I would imagine that Maryville is disappointed this morning, they barely have any competition as it is.

No one in Maryville is disappointed. These are High School kids, they would rather turbo everyone and go undefeated than be .500 in "competitive" games. They want State Championships, not competition.

Trinity stayed in Class 3. After that game last year Im sure Maryville is more than happy to be in Class 2.

Funny how perspective works. When I moved from KC to Maryville in 2007 to go to undergrad, I bought a house for $77k, because they were so freakin' cheap.

That $77K house probably $120K today but in Burlington Jct or Barnard you could get same size house for $80k. Yet in KC suburbs same size house $200k+.

Soooooo much for Raytown being a Class 5 threat...................Class 4 in the KC metro changed just like that! And, after all the chat about Webb, no change. MOOOOORE to come as my work schedule permits!

I also notice, providing the rotating brackets remain the same, Webb will actually be aligned to play Ladue in the semifinals again! Last year's finalists are both in District 3. This opens the door for a NWMO team to make it to the final..............unless someone has insight into a District 1-2 team to watch this fall.

Maryville kids and coaches are different. from what I have seen over the years they would enjoy the challenge of Class 4 more than the cakewalk of class 2.

Great teams don't get off on turbo clocking rec league teams, its not that much fun

I didn't say anything about Coaches, yes most coaches I know would rather coach a completive game against tougher competition. Apparently the kids in Maryville are different than EVERY High School kid I have ever met.
