Does Nixa have a chance in Class 6

I've always thought it was strange that a SWMO school would be satisfied with being Class 6. That size school just seems geographically-out-of-place in the region. To fit in, once you got that big in enrollment, it'd almost seem better to split the institution into two. You'd be more similar to your neighbors with Class 3, 4, or 5, and you'd most likely be in a district that is more local as well. Yes, I know budget-wise it isn't easy to just go and build a second building (although Joplin had a wonderful opportunity to do so in 2011). Anyways, I guess it is what it is.

Spot on about everything.
That other comment comparing Nixa's line to Carthage's was asinine. Nixa has a decent shot. Their d is pretty good too.
Hoping Cantwell and the QB decide to transfer to Bixby next year.
They also have an incredible coach.

The average cost of building a new high school in the US is around $25M .... not withstanding the additional community expense for maintaining and staffing an additional school.

There may be instances where it is in a communities best interest to do so due to growth, etc. — Columbia, Jefferson City, Wentzville, North Kansas City, etc.

But what would be strange, and preposterously ignorant, is a community sitting around and pondering how funding and building an additional high school impacts the local football program(s) ability to succeed in the postseason.

Do agree with your last statement, however I find it humorous if the story is correct from when Joplin went back to one high school. One board member was quoted as saying they now might be able to beat Jeff City (the old Pete Adkins Jays) in football. We know how that went.

Well, in some places what might happen, is you get to drop from say two schools in Class 6, down to one in 4 and two in 5. It should be part of the discussion. :D Just kidding.

Allegedly, they’re doing a DNA test to prove whether or not Cantwell is a descendent of Paul Bunyan
The thing that amazes me most is that he is so blessed because he could just as easily be a theoretical physicist as he could be a professional athlete.
Just proves to me that God has a sense of humor. The only extra attributes I received were ears.

Same. I've been told I have a "perfect nose". Now there's something a guy has a really hard time taking advantage of.

In 100 years they’ll speculate if the stories around Jackson Cantrell are true.

If it’s not a Kc school the gold medals Nixas, St. Louis gonna choke
