Do the players walk away scot free if true????

Nope, they did it, they pay. If those are the only words the coach said does he deserve any punishment? If there was further discussion with the coach that led to this plan he should be criminally charged along with the players.

I think the appropriate actions are being taken. If the students have charges brought against them then the coach should be charged with conspiracy or as an accessory.

I don't think the players should or will. They should never play football again, IMO.

If the coach was in anyway in on it he should be charged with something but the players definately should be charged with no less than assault. That was disgusting and they are very lucky the dude wasnt injured severely.

The offending team had 4 players thrown out in this game. One of the four was mistakenly thrown out because the refs thought he was involved in the double slam of the official. I can forgive the refs for missing that one. In the game of football, we are taught not to assault the officials. The kid who got away with the assault on the ref was later thrown out after hitting the kneeling QB in the victory formation. This is a disgusting display of Texas high school football.

The Refs were the police to these players so it was ok for them to do what they did. :( There is always an excuse for their actions and they never take any responsibility for their own actions. If I was a ref and these players were allowed to play again I would walk off of the field and let them have it.
