can you really considered wins in 8-man because is it really football?

Believe it or not, there are a lot more head coaches with a career record under .500 than over it, so if you can maintain around .500 for a sustained period of time, that’s a more of an accomplishment than most think.

I’d say winning 47% over 17 years is alright.

How many active head coaches in Missouri that have been a head coach for at least 17 seasons are higher than that? There aren’t many.

JROD of Webb City is 315-35(26 seasons?)
That’s 90% exactly

Steve Ary(he’s been coaching in Arkansas the last 3 years, but before that with Willow Springs for around a decade, Mt Grove for 7-8 years, and West Plains for 7 years) is 196-117
That’s 63%

I’m sure there are a few but not many

I’m guessing Fred Bouchard is one of them
Will Christian at Lebanon and Marionville. Not sure about his record but it was 80-60 at Lebanon at end of 2019. Marionville was pretty good when he was there so I’d bet he’s well over .500

Probably has over 20 years total st this point or close to it.

Theres another active coach I missed right here in the ozarks. Right you are.
I think he left after Flood graduated right?
I watched that kid play the state championship game with a separated shoulder.
Had some of the most impressive balance while running and juking that I’d ever seen out of a small school running back at the time. I think that was in…. 2003?

Christian left Marionville after the 04 season. They won state in 03 and made the semis in 04. Marionville was also the state runner up in 05 and 06 where Flood set the state rushing record back to back years!

How were their special teams?
