WHO advises that ivermectin (stromectol) used to treat COVID-19 ?

Ivermectin (Stromectol) is a broad spectrum anti-parasitic agent, included in WHO essential medicines list for several parasitic diseases. It is used in the treatment of onchocerciasis (river blindness), strongyloidiasis and other diseases caused by soil transmitted helminthiasis. It is also used to treat scabies.

A guideline development group was convened in response to the increased international attention on ivermectin (stromectol) as a potential treatment for COVID-19. This group is an independent, international panel of experts, which includes clinical care experts in multiple specialties and also include an ethicist and patient-partners.

Ivermectin (Stromectol) has been successfully used in developing countries to treat parasites for decades. In the United States, it is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Association as an oral drug against roundworm and a topical treatment for lice, among other uses.

Prescriptions for ivermectin jumped to 88,000 in the week , up from just a few thousand a week prior to the pandemic and a four-fold increase since July, the CDC said.

Even though I'm not sick, I decided to make a reserve just in case. On the advice of a friend I bought it here. They didn't ask me for a prescription.

Has anyone used Ivermectin for Covid-19?

Why would anyone take a med used to treat worms in a 1000 pound horse that's not even FDA approved for COVID, but they're hesitant to take an FDA approved immunization that's already been proven safe and effective? I prefer to wait and see if any of the 31 ongoing ivermectin research trials actually establish its safety and effectiveness for COVID.

To be fair, there is a human grade version of ivermectin. But I agree, a medication used to treat parasitic infections and lice doesn't seem to make sense when used against a viral infection. I'll wait until more research is published before forming a true opinion though.

Do you recommend taking it once a decade and if so when does that decade start?

I’m your huckleberry.

Proven effective? How about 43% ineffective in an Israeli study. I know people that have dropped dead and been permanantly injured from the vax. One heart attack. One blood clot death, and several people that have had severe nerve damage, an inflamed heart. We won't go into myocarditis and micro-blood clotting, but that has been happening as well. But we will not do correlation studies or track it effectively, just watch it all happening and claim it is "safe."

I love the Doc Guys but these are more like lose (very lose) guidelines. But there is always honorary status.
Honorary Doc Guy status must be earned though! Not just anyone can be an Honorary Doc Guy. Ask that clown Calvin. He was voted on TWICE!! Never made it in. OR ask @RawMeat !! He took THREE votes before getting in. Now he couldnt be more excited to be an Honorary Doc Guy!

Per Raw's own peculiar observation, he is an honorary Cod Yug. or maybe a Yraronoh (with the silent y that makes the pronunciation as ra ro noh) Cod Yug. Sounds a bit Scooby Dooish to me.

I’ve had the honor of being voted no on two different names.
I miss Calvin.

Why do we need studies when we can just get your expert opinion.

I know hundreds of people who've been vaccinated with no side effects other than a sore arm, and not being hospitalized with covid.

Joe is afraid of needles, poor little fella..

Why does my local hospital have 7 covid patients on vents, and 22 others that DO NOT have COVID? You're such an expert, you tell me? So the people I know are just imagining their side effects? LOL. Poor little feeble mind.

How many of the 7 covid patients were vaccinated?

People are intubated for pulmonary embolisms, post-surgery and a jillion other reasons. That doesn't prove anything.

It just a needle Joey. Just look away and think happy thoughts when they give you the shot.

I don't recommend anything
kaminji, is that you? Sure sounds like you. I've scoured the interwebs for you since our untimely break up. Please reach back out. We may still have a chance. Don't give up on me baby.

Check VAERS data from CDC on Covid 19 vaccines. Won't find in many news (any) news outlets!
