Okay... Maybe we could keep the negativity on the other thread about this but, Bolivar has put together a committee of parents, coaches and administrators that are seeking opportunities regarding conference placement. They don't know this group like I do but, I would love to see your ideas. Let's assume that until some changes take effect, that Bolivar will not have an option in the Large COC, Big 8 or OC. Keeping all sports and travel distance in mind... what would you guys do? I would love to see what the folks on this board would do if they were looking at building a conference in the current environment.

At one time, I had heard some talk about Central, Marshfield, and you guys joining the OC. And the OC doing a large/small split. I'd love to see that, but Marshfield joined another conference...right???

I have looked at this from every angle I can think of and it seems like the best approach

Well... Yes, I have a good idea but, I am trying to move on from the negativity. I think the best answer is just to say that, once Springfield Central joined it closed the door on the Liberators. That is no fault of Springfield Central. Marshfield went to the new Big 8 with the majority of the other COC Small schools. I think the move that most excites me is a possible move to the MRVC West. I hope this new committee looks at that option and I hope the MRVC West will consider it. I wanted the OC move. Close games and good competition.

Would have it been better to do a East/West split in the OC than large/small? 5 Springfield schools plus Bolivar, then the other 6.

Add Bolivar and SPS to the COC and split by enrollment. Plus 10 team conferences suck. No freedom to schedule non conference games. Pittsburg vs Webb/CJ, etc. Re-adjust every two years by enrollment if needed. Nothing against OC East schools just makes more since.
