Some really lopsided scores Friday. Would have been a lot of perfect scores if Nixa had won. At this point we’ve got Joplin on top with Webb and Carthage closely behind which will be settled this week. Willard with 2 losses is trying to make the case they belong in that group as well. It’s tough to predict between everyone else - they all seem competitive to each another but far removed from the top teams in the conference.
Note: I pruned several players who haven’t participated in the last few weeks.
So this week’s big game is Carthage hosting Webb City for the first time at Haffner Stadium. Should be a great game with great atmosphere. Elsewhere we may start to see a bit of separation between some of the lower teams - if there is any.

- Branson at Joplin - The pirates will suffer their second consecutive slaughtering.
- Ozark at CJ - Ozark has quietly posted 3 wins but against a group of teams that combine for only 3 wins total. If CJ had a QB and a coherent offense I might favor them but… they don’t.
- Webb City at Carthage - On paper I actually think Carthage looks like a potential favorite - but honestly I will be surprised if they win. There is a huge mental barrier to overcome with Webb City and even if Carthage leads at halftime - the cardinals are notorious for owning the 3rd quarter.
- Nixa at Neosho
- Willard at Republic - Although Willard is sometimes skilled at losing games they should have won, I think they’ll post another convincing win.
