Not that I make a habit of celebrating a particular team’s struggles, but WC starting 0-2 has really made the COC more interesting to watch. In years past it was merely a matter of which week WC would be a lock. Now, going into week 5 there are 5 teams that I think have a legitimate shot at the title.

Neosho – I went out on a limb for them last week and it bit me, but I’m going to stick with them to unseat Nixa. In my opinion this will be the first real test Nixa has faced this year.

Ozark

Carl Junction

Willard – I think Willard is going to use their size advantage to upset Carthage who is coming off an easy late night win at Central. This game is at Willard btw, not at Carthage.

Webb City – Pittsburg has historically put up a fight against WC so it should be a good game. I still wish the Joplin side of the COC large could trade the trip to Branson for Pittsburg who I believe is currently unaffiliated.


Kickapoo – Don’t really follow the OC or either of these teams but I hear Glendale has an impressive passing offense. But Kickapoo seems really solid overall this year from what I’ve read.

Some of these picks aren't good on paper, so we'll see.
