COC large is definitely interesting and fun this season. There are few if any games that aren’t up for grabs. Nixa still sitting on top and ranked in C5 but they also haven’t played a particularly tough schedule so far.

Neosho 17-14 Neosho is on a roll of narrowly winning games. You can only win so many close games before one doesn’t go your way but I really think Neosho can win this so I’ll gamble. Either way I think fans at this one will be in for a treat.

Nixa 42-21 I believe Republic had a particularly bad showing at WC that may not be indicative of their overall strength, but it seems they are not going to be the standout I had initially predicted. I expect Nixa to move to 4-0, but after that comes Neosho, WC, Carthage, Ozark and CJ who in my opinion are have realistic hopes for a share of the coc title at this point.

Ozark 28-14 Ozark is doing what I expected from Republic.

Carthage 28-7 Carthage shutout winless Branson but only scored 3tds themselves – I hear their O-line continues to be problematic. If Carthage wants to be in the COC contender discussion they need to put up some serious numbers against Central who so far is averaging only 4ppg on offense and giving up 54.

WC 28-21 Webb City looked much better at home against a Republic team that (in my opinion) had an exceptionally bad night. Still, I think that solid win will give them the confidence they need to stay upright and play strong at home against Willard, who will certainly come prepared to fight.
