Class 2 Lamar vs Class 1 Valle

Lamar by Turbo... Few yrs ago Maybe this is a ok game not anymore Heard Valle lost a big piece of their team.. Lamar by at least 35.. I'll be there to watch this slaughter
Not this year but a bunch over the last 2 yrs... Valle is going to get molly wooped !! Won't be close. And im not a Lamar fan
The atmosphere for this one should be amazing. Win or lose, this game will make both teams better. Both teams are rarely tested during the regular season. For the players and fans in attendance, this game will be talked about for years to come. Not many players get to compete in a game of this magnitude. Even though it is not for a state championship, both teams have something to prove. East vs West, Class 1 vs Class 2, Public vs Private, the bragging rights are all on the line. My prediction:

Valle will struggle their kids never get to play a lot of minutes because their
schedule is don't have a word how bad that conference is. Lamar has played a good
Monett team so they have had to play at a high level for a least 1 game. First QTR
will be total dominance for Lamar then Valle will start to compete but will be behind
by 3 scores. Final Lamar 42 Valle 14. Valle will still win class 1 no competition in that

You really couldn't be more off.
No matter what the score the Valle kids will play to the last second on the clock. Coach Naeger wanted this game on his schedule to give his kids a chance to play better competition. I take my hat off to him for scheduling such a quality opponent. He's willing to put a 50 game win streak on the line knowing the deck is stacked against his kids. I also take my hat off to Lamar for agreeing to this game as well and willing in the first year of this home and away series to make the trip. No matter what the outcome of this game I believe both teams win!!

Cassville and Caruthersville are rated about the same.
Lamar beat Cassville 50-0.

I think this will be a good game. Both teams have obviously shown they can play with anyone, regardless of class. I do think personally, that Lamar will take it. But I don't think it will be a blowout, my prediction a 21-14, or a 48-42 type game. I feel it's gonna come down to who's defense can hold up, or who can throw the biggest haymaker. No middle ground. Lamar scores in bunches, as well as Valle. Wish I could be able to go to this game. Definitely one to remember. Can't wait to see the results! (from what I've been reading, almost as much hype as Webb-Rock)

Environment will be better. You cannot even begin to imagine what games like this mean to small towns.
I'm pretty sure here in Webb, it was a big deal to have Rock on the schedule. I'm excited to go and supporter fellow SWMO team.
First of all kudos to both teams for making this game happen and at least answering the question this year of what would happen if the teams played.
Styles make fights and on the few occasions that Lamar has struggled in recent years was against a team that can spread the field and throw the ball. In 2013 and 2014 Carl Junction used their speed and athletes in space to score although in both cases the games were nail biters.
All that said I don't think Valle has the team size or team speed (CJ has 3/4 of a state champion relay team) that CJ posed so I don't think Valle will be able to exploit mismatches like they have in some of their other games.
On the offensive side I don't know that Valle has faced anyone that will prepare them very well for the offensive attack of Lamar. I'm going on a lot of 2nd and 3rd hand information admittedly but I don't believe Valle is very big up front. If Valle has a couple key injuries depth has to be a concern.
In the end I think Lamar's rushing attack proves too much and it is something like 45-21.

Meaningless pontificating. C3 #4 Monett led C2 #1 Lamar for 3 of 4 quarters. C3 #17 Cassville led C3 #4 Monett for 3 of 4 quarters. Trying to force compare scores will lose your money more times than not (and especially so when using Big 8 teams as your argument baseline).
Another Big 8 example: East Newton beat Seneca, 14-0. Seneca beat Aurora, 28-21. Aurora beat East Newton, 27-9.

Would love to see the game. Valle hangs with them for a half and maybe three quarters. But in the end the Lamar streak continues
