Crap. With a team like Lamar watching is so much more important than just listening, no matter how good the play by play guys are. I think those of us who have seen them play in person just can't do them justice on this board with our various comments.

Btw, they can be beat of course. But the point is they've become pretty darn impressive in their own way, a public school in a smaller town who lost their biggest employer several years back.

yea thought about driving also.. just no way possible.. I thought there was a radio station over by lamar that streamed lamars games..

I know the local 101.7 broadcast it and ive been told sometimes they stream games but you'd Have to find the site.. But to be honest i don't really know.

What are you doing hanging out with high school boys? Are you still in high school in Jasper. You seem to know all about the Lamar boys. First it was that they were not working hard this summer. They were getting beat by the girls in their workouts at the dam. They were down this year. Just what did you want a bunch of high school boys to say? We don't have a chance. Lamar seems to always have good athletes, it has just taken off recently because of the culture and buy in.

Almost beating Maryville in that semifinal a few years ago gave them alot of confidence.

Dew Drop Inn(about 10 minutes outside of town, north on HWY 61 in Bloomsdale). They redid the place a few years ago and it looks awesome. One side is the bar room and the other is the Kozy Kitchen/Diner. Awesome food.

Midway(about 15 minutes outside of town on, west on HWY 32). Pretty good food. It's dressed up like an old hunting cabin.

The Anvil(Downtown Ste. Genevieve). I've tried it all, and it is good. Ofcourse try their famous onion rings.

Skin I'm not sure what your deal is with Lamar, but it's sad that you feel the need to share all this stuff that 15-18 yr old boys supposedly said at some vball out of town.
My son played several years ago along with all his friends. Several of my good friends boys play now....I can see them being in a group of kids kidding around with other kids. But trust me when I say, they are NOT taking this game for granted and if you knew the program you would know that. You sound like the one who's bu**hurt. If this was your 1st time talking about Lamar and acting like you knew the 'inside scoop' it wouldn't be so bad, but it's not the first. Why not post how our players went over to pray for injured players after the Monett game, or other positive things they do. Like I said I'm not saying that someone wasn't talking smack...they are kids and sometimes they don't think before they speak. But I guarantee you they are not underestimating this team Valle. If Bailey heard any kind of talk like that he WOULD put them in their place. It won't be tolerated.

Look, I'm not taking anybody's side here, but is it really that hard to believe that certain players on a team that are super confident would be talking all cocky and such? I mean, I'm pretty sure every high school team has those few kids that run their mouth, I mean, it is high school after all.
No reason to get all offended and upset.
I think Lamar is going to roll on Saturday and I can wait to see it. But to deny that it's even possible that a few member of a successful high school football team would be boastful and cocky is crazy.

Lamar fokes don't care if you think MV is going to win. That is a fair prediction and that game will be a battle and most likely determine the state champion. Lamar folks know Lamar isn't unbeatable.

No matter what the score the Valle kids will play to the last second on the clock. Coach Naeger wanted this game on his schedule to give his kids a chance to play better competition. I take my hat off to him for scheduling such a quality opponent. He's willing to put a 50 game win streak on the line knowing the deck is stacked against his kids. I also take my hat off to Lamar for agreeing to this game as well and willing in the first year of this home and away series to make the trip. No matter what the outcome of this game I believe both teams win!!
