More exciting stuff. Calling for all the statues of George Washington to come down. When you recast the history of America as a story of oppression then yes, all things should come down. When you argue that everything in an America is endemically evil (systemic racism) then of course it should come down.

We don't have statues to George Washington because he was a slaveholder, we have statues for him in spite of the fact he had slaves.

Yet the radicals contend that all the good is wiped away because our original sin and anything that is good is turned to bad.

Because anything created by a system that tolerated slavery is the fruit of the poisonous tree. It's insane. But yes, it's happening.

Do we think that people that lived in 1770 were as clear cut about the idea of slavery as people living in 2020? Is slavery not endemic to all of human civilization? God help us.

The trick that the left plays is slavery was an American institution but going to the Moon was an international win.
