I know a lot of Democrats believe that Republicans are hateful, immoral, cheating, freaks that only love money and have no time in their day for the average hard working man.

How is it then that they could possibly be Christian?

Atheist and Sun Worshipers, your opinion doesn't count on this one but feel free to bash anyway...

Sure, all current day Christians are sinners. :p

Sure they can.
I think Missouri was fortunate to have 2 Senators who were both Christian and Republican.
Unfortunately, the party of Danforth and Ashcroft is no more. I believe they wanted what they thought was best, even though I may disagree with some of their policies, I believe they were honorable, and moral men. Just look what the whisper campaign by the current Republican party caused. If you are not embarrassed to vote for any of them, I am sorry for you.

You need to study Ashcroft's tenure as governor. Low life.

M

Me or Ashcroft?. I was a kid when he was governor.

Ashcroft was not a friend to educators.
His successor pushed thru minimum teacher salaries and reforms to improve school funding because Ashcroft blocked it all.

Always wanting something for nothing, typical Democrat ...

Not only can a Republican be a Christian, even a Democrat can.

Criminal John Edwards ?
Crown Jewel Hillary ?
Sun worshiper, Al Gore ?
Intern Predator, Bill Clinton ?
Rev. Wright's 20 year church follower, Barack Obama ?

Wow!!!
God does work in mysterious ways...

Scout! I gave you a legitimate answer. And I gave you 2 examples. You can't even give Jimmy Carter?
And then Ag wants to act as though he is a moderate, with right leanings. And says the things he says about Democrats.
You 2 may want to reevaluate your positions on people in general.

Wanting a living wage to educate our nation's youth...you're right, greedy teachers...

Prior to governor carnahan there were teachers in swmo making 12,000/year at some public schools. Our state's schools ranked in the upper 40s in the USA in achievement. Asscroft fought his guts out to keep our school funding at Mississippi levels.

Perhaps you need to move north to Big Sisters home, she pays better.

$45, 000+ in some districts ...

You know this is incorrect Duck. You call everyone out when they generalize, Scout , and every tea party member are not child rapist.

You are better than this.

You fight fire with fire Aggie.

One thing about your avatar Duck, you look so bada$$, I would like to visit over a cup of coffee. You must have stole a photograph of me and I wonder where you got it.

Please show quote where I said the above...
Apology excepted

Scout there are two kinds of people, those who can extrapolate from incomplete data and those...

But the inference that libs are "atheists and sun worshippers" is supposed to lead me to what conclusion?

Good point but...
your guy Duck thinks Republicans can't be Christian.

Just a bit of a counter punch if you will...
Which is the more deviant act?

Of course Democrats are good people and not all are atheist no more than all Republicans are Christian.

My mother is an ordained minister and a Democrat for over 60 years.

Gee, maybe were both right...

Maybe we, as a country, should put away the partisan rhetoric and start drifting back to moderation...or common sense governance as I like to call it.

Skeeter McCormack, I believe you could be someone that someone like me could "Compromise" with...

Nice post... : )

So your saying Marco Rubio is not a Christian, is immoral, not honorable and doesn't really believe that his policies are right for America?

Your not exactly someone I want to "Compromise" with...

The Dems HAVE moderated.
This country has moved so far right it's nuts.
Everyone acts like Bernie is a radical
The things he promotes were mainstream Dem in the 60's-70's.
The top tax rate, the capital gains tax rate
are so far right of the Eisenhower-Nixon eras it unfathomable. A lot of Repubs were allowed to be moderate during the Reagan era. Not any more. People have forgotten how far right we are as a country. How's it working out?

I really don't have a problem with corporations making millions off my hard work.
They were the ones who took all the "risk" with "their" money to achieve financial greatness.

Why then should I who "risk nothing" be given a piece of "their" pie that I had no part in creating?

Yes I understand that there is corp greed, unfair tax codes, corrupt politicians and evil people who all they want is my money but I don't care.

Individualism and self reliance has taught me that "I" can make it alone without the help of government or others.

Will I ever be as "rich" in the terms of financial gain as my employer ??? probably not ...

But then again "I chose to risk nothing" to become rich.

Why then do I need a trophy for a game I never played in?

This logic I doubt will resonate with those of you who were brought up with the victim mentality...
There again, I'm ok with that ...

I don't know much about Rubio's morality or religion. I also don't think he stands much of a chance, because of the Anti-Latino sentiment in the party thanks to Trump.
I thought Rubio was a little more moderate.
We are closer than you think Scout. Until you start the no compromise until I get my way Tea Party stuff.

You can make it alone without help from others? You have an employer. Sounds like you depend on your employer. Does your employer have customers? Where do the customers get their money? How are your companies products or services delivered?
On roads and bridges built by taxpayers?
Who provides police and fire protection for the business?

Did you make your own clothes? Or did you buy them from a business? Have you bought any bread, milk or meat from a store this
year? I have a feeling your "self reliance" is a crock of manure.

CEO's of large corps don't take $%&+ for risk. In most cases, they didn't start their firms. For them to pay a lower % in taxes than their secretary is wrong.

I am not sure anyone on here has a victim mentality at least I don't. I have worked all my life to get the things I have and have never felt like a victim. Just because I feel like poor people need breaks more than CEOs and big corporations doesn't make me a victim. Most democrats that I know like myself don't want something for nothing they just have a different idea on what's important. I actually know very few Dems who really want something for nothing. If you are saying that most poor people vote Dem then you might be correct.

Duck, it may surprise you to know, but some Americans don't live in the city. I don't need an "employer", I have never needed police protection nor fire protection, and have never even expected it, we have made our own clothes, made our own bread, milked our own cows and have damn sure not bought any meat at Walmart this year. Sometimes people can take care of theirselves, I realize this is a foreign concept to the 98% percent of America that depends on others to exist, but that is why a few have the opinion we do. Is it right, is it wrong? I don't know, but not everybody has to suck the government tit 24/7. I actually feel sad for people so dependent on others handouts.
