Strangely most of the Leftist on this board are violently opposed to America ponying up.... All the while they demand free or taxpayer reduced medical services for their relatives, demand more taxpayer cash for the welfare dole grifters and want to throw govt money without oversite to every other social justice issue in the book and pay billions for months long Riots. While ignoring a actual legit case for payment. So strange that so many on this board who claim to be progressive and for the little guy really take issue with reparations.


I freely admit while I'm a conservative on Fiscal issues and the adherence to the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I do have a lot of left of center beliefs.

For reparations yes the cost will be worth it.
For Freedom of Choice... Abortion... Refusal to vax..I'd legalize Prostitution if a women or man wants to sell their bodies for $$$ who am I or the govt to say NO they can't!!
For Gay Marriage... being non-binary trans... and the Rest of the Alphabet it's your choice.

For Keeping Religion out of Schools and Govt. all religion. I do acknowledge that our Foundations was based on a lot of Judeo Christian tenements but with that said overt Religious doctrine should remain private.

I'm Against banning books no matter the content with some restrictions to age appropriate groups. Ex: I mean Porn shouldn't be accessible to minors. Although the stats say if a kid as a smart phone it's almost 100% certain they have seen porn YIKES and scary. If you don't like the book don't read it...

Heck I have zero issue on a it's none of my business scale if Parents are stupid enough to take their Kids to drag Queen Shows while they are in elementary school or enroll them in private schools that have sex ed classes that teaches about deviant types of sex complete with all kind of apparatuses and examples of their usage.

I would legalize MJ and Some other drugs.... and end the Stupid War on Drugs that has been a full on failure and a huge waste of taxpayer money. No doubt drugs have a huge ramification on peoples health and lives but a overt authoritarian approach to the problem has minimal effects on stopping people from consuming illegal substances.

I'm for sensible and feasible climate change policies.... I just balk at knee jerk illogical politician led policy changes which make no sense long or short term.

And before any of you hard core anti-reparation people claim the only reason I'm for it is because my GF will get some... I can tell you she will give her money to her Brothers children who's Mom had a psychotic Break 8 years ago was homeless and is now in a inpatient facility. The lot of them are living with their Grandma so the money would be well spent. Although maybe she will keep a bit back for my Bday and I will get me that AR-15 with the pistol grip that would be sweet!!

First nobody is asking for reparations besides you and your girlfriend with your demand for $100,000 and a mule so first take a long hard look in the mirror before you go projecting onto anybody else....Mine is more about the history of it.

However you want to talk conquered people then well unfortunately many of those enslaved were conquered and enslaved by thier own people and sold to the Portuguese as a form of trade.. So going by what you said and your thought process about conquered people... Sorry you too don't deserve $100,000 wouldn't you say?

Second many Native Americans fought side by side with the colonist because treaties were signed. However later they would then be forced off the land they were given because of those treaties and such, how many times you hear white man speak with forked tongue.....which really is a stretch of the word given...how can you give something to somebody who already owned it? If it wasn't for the native's helping early settlers America might not have even been here, but what did they get for helping?

And yes as for talking white history let's look at thanksgiving....the truth is far from what is taught in the history books today. And that is just one example. The white man in me wants it to be the truth It is how I hoped we would have treated the Native Americans...however the Native American in me who has studied history knows it is white washed...Honestly it is a hard thing for me to think about. So yeah I do understand also why descendants of slaves might also think long and hard about what is taught in our history books...

Many Native Americans are still stuck on reservations...while I am never going to pretend to know what the answer is and that I know it all (like you WINK WINK) I don't know that reparations' is the answer either? I look at myself my grandmother decided to leave the reservation...I don't know what drove her to that decision love family or a desire to better herself.. but because she did I am where I am today not facing the same fate as those of my family who didn't? But I am also not saying they are not happy...Our nation is different than others.

I know we cannot dwell on our past but we also cannot forget it...what that means I don't know....But I do believe to many are stuck in the past be it the way it is taught to the way we honor it...

Yes and they could 'find' the money to fix roadsand bridges along with water and sewer lines and make sure everybody has access to a decent internet service. That should have become clear to everyone during the work or go to school from home era of the pandemic. You're talking about many trillions off dollars to give to people that didn't experience ANY issues with slavery and others were not around for any massacres. Biden asked for a couple of trillion and you don't want that to happen. I'll bet they could come up with that right out of some of the goofy stuff they want to do in the space program. Somehow you haven't noticed our debt and deficit has doubled a few times lately and the bigger it is the harder it is to double the last one.

There would be so much fighting over who gets it and how much they get it wouldn't heal a damn thing!
I keep hearing about reparations for this or that. Tell me where that money comes from, I had nothing to do with it and my tax dollars need to fix things in the here and now. What value do you put on such things done to someone in your family 100 years ago? Who decides how much that's worth to people that weren't born yet? How far down the line do you have be to get left out of the money?

As far as another AR.... it would be for improved accuracy on the range and in home protection as it is one of the best self defense platforms on the market. Accurate, easy to operate, and well suited for home use.

Actually those who are considered minorities have many advantages that those who don't, so what do you consider reparation's, I think because of our minority status we already get many benefits that others cannot enjoy. One was Because I am on both Roll's and was able to get my kids on them all of thier student loans were forgiven we just had to go out and apply. There are other benefits also. So in a way reparation's are already sort of built in if you want to go out and look for them. I always check minority when I apply for anything.

Everyone isn’t getting the reparations in California. They have specific criteria and you have to meet a certain number of them. I don’t have the list but I saw it on cable a few weeks back.

Yes they should get some compensation.... I don't think the people today should pay for what their ancestors did. But I do think that maybe free College tuition or Student Loan debt forgiveness could be in order. Or free tuition to a trade school might be favorable as well or Trucking School etc......

So people alive to day would pay for someone's tuition or student loan debt? You just recently went a tirade about Biden wanting to forgive those debts and taxpayers would foot the bill. But you're ok with it if its called reparations?

Do you not see the difference?

First off Black Slaves where promised compensation for being in bondage. That debt was never paid.... at all. In fact the carpet baggers of the North often bought up the land from southerners, re-employed blacks and poor whites as share croppers and they lived a life not unlike slaves for generations to come.

That compensation would of allowed some to escape that life style and future generations would of benefited from it. So yes we should honor our word and pay off the debt.

As far as the Tulsa Massacre that was outright Violent theft to take wealth and clearly retribution is in order. The off spring of those who suffered would be miniscule to say the least and the forgiving some debt for education or trade skills would be a small price to pay.

Now if a person was not a descendant of a Slave or the Tulsa Massacre..... and they took out a Student Loan with full knowledge that they will have to repay it in exchange for a education then why Would I be for that debt loan to be forgiven? I paid off my student debts. They can do the same.

See the difference is the descendants of Slaves and the Tulsa Massacre have special circumstances that need to be addressed. The average Joe and Mary who goes to College and Gets a Gender Studies Degree, Cannabis Biology degree, Ethics Studies degree, Art history Degree, Music Degree, Liberal Arts degree, Communications Degree, Philosophy degree, Journalism degree etc. degree and acquires thousands upon thousands of dollars of debt and can't find a Job are still obligated to repay that debt.

The taxpayer shouldn't be on the hook for their own self inflicted ignorance and stupidity. If you are going to repay all these Knuckle heads for being dumb, then all the hard working college grads who actually repaid their debts and are putting money into the tax coffers should have their Loans repaid as well.

Again why do you not want to repay those who's ancestors have suffered and those who actually contribute to society, but instead reward the Grifters and Leaches with a sad song and demands for our hard earned $$$ because they made ignorant choices and don't want to reap what they sowed!

There is a Mac Job out there for those type of People and the Junk Degree's they have gotten. Let them wallow in debt until they can repay it while they work in retail and the service industry's. Maybe they can reflect and learn something from those experiences and then pass them on to their off spring so they don't make the same mistake.
