Not to dump on PC but it was tied at half and 1 score late in 3rd. Once they figured out GV wouldn't throw the ball and the defense was dead tired from being out on field all game they destroyed us plus the deep pass is where GV was suspect all year. Webb knew all this going in and barely got by them with help. PC or Pius over Webb or Carthage by 3tds. IMO
Yeah you amplified what I meant by that being early in the season. I expect pretty much a smooth running maching from the get go tonight BUT Pius has talent everywhere including D (the Molle kid should return he was out last week they still did what they did vs. Fort).

Exactly what did officials not recognize that would have given Grain Valley 13 more points and the win???
Webb defense held GV to a total of 194 yards with Palmer and Harris just picking up 54 yards each on the ground all game. What did the officials do that helped the Webb defense dominate all night??
You are incorrect when it comes to what Webb City does with their punt team. they have been doing it to people for years. Thats why almost everone leaves their defense on the field vs them.
In NCAA teams are given an opportunity to sub. in NFSH (highschool ) that is not the case.
NFSH Rule on Substitutions
Replaced player must depart within 3 seconds of arrival of substitute. Breaking the huddle with 12 or more players is not a foul unless it violates the above.
NCAA Rule on Substitutions
Replaced A player must depart immediately (3 seconds), but A cannot break huddle with 12 players. While in the process of substitution, Team A is prohibited from rushing quickly to the line of scrimmage and snapping.
they allowed WC to substitute players at the 13 second mark and run up and snap the ball before GV had the opportunity to make equal substitutions. 2018 NFHS points of emphasis requires both teams to be given equal opportunity to make substitutions.

Yep I vaguely recall that very first in person HSFB game at the old elementary school field was 2A #9 ranked Kearney hosting Platte CITY.

Even if you were correct (which you are not),,,the officials just would have given GV the opportunity to substitute players and then Webb City would have punted the ball.

If you remember GV had just rand it down webbs throat for 7 and then stopped them. All momentum was with GV. You must also be forgetting GV stopped themselves the 1st 5 drives with penalties.

From my copy I see that 2018 points of emphasis were
1.proper wearing and use of required equipment
2.Blindside blocks and defenseless players
3. Application of personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct
4. Time Managment

The equal substitution is in time management. Also covers officials ability to stop play if they believe another team is trying to manipulate time. Both of which Webb was doing.
I think they actually intercepted a pass and returned it deep inside Webb territory to set up their only TD of the night didn’t they???
Intercepted around webbs 30 or 35 returned to GV 40 then 4 or 5 running plays to a TD. If i remember correctly. I didn't pay for mshsaa footage to confirm lol

I sure wish you would copy and paste the rule cause I don’t see any “equal time for substitution “ anywhere,,,,,Webb does that on punts all the time you would think some crew would throw a flag if it’s not legal
For PiusX we could see them faulter at the overall athleticism of Platte County. However, they've had a strong showing all season against competition like St. James and Rockhurst. I can't wait for the result and box score of this matchup. I'll be headed to Park Hill to watch that against Oak Park. Stream the other class match up of Liberty at Blue Springs South.
