I really hope Heupel finds success elsewhere; I think Josh deserved better from Stoops after devoting his entire adult life to the Sooners (just my opinion).

Many OU fans agree as far as wanting Venables to stay... As far as Heupel, would loved to have seen him still a Sooner. The defense was the biggest problem a year ago, but hard to argue what Riley has done. Also,lets not act like Josh had coached there for 20 years

Wished Venables had stayed and is a superior coach and recruiter to Mike Stoops. I think Heupel will do well and could grow into a top coach but at this time Riley was a serious upgrade.
