He is a great guy a true Missouri guy but this basketball program is beyond
bad. It is time to gut the whole thing and start totally over. Only retain may by
7 guys bring new coach in March and that will give him 6 scholarships
to work with. These kids don't play hard for Coach Anderson , they cant attack
a zone and no one goes to the games. Time for change

How long would you give the new coach, who will get 6 new players, and be WAAAY behind every other coach in recruiting time, to turn this thang around? I'd bet he would want more than a couple of years and 6 of his own recruits.

yeah but when you're losing at home to Mississippi State...yeesh, that was the easiest game left on the schedule by a country mile. They may somehow be worse this year than last year.

I had been thinking he would get year 3, but, man, if they only win 2 games in the SEC...it's going to be tough for the administration to keep him when they look at their ticket sales and donations.

It's not like Mizzou is going 7-11 in the SEC, they might finish in last for the whole league for the second year in a row. The expectations at Mizzou are much higher than that.

Kim Anderson is the best thing to happen to MU and the worst thing to happen to himself the last few years. Mizzou is a joke. The fans, the previous and current leaders the players. Just a complete dumpster fire. So a lot like a maimed horse you shoot to put out of his misery. I hope MU cuts ties and moves on to their next ex.

Yeah, all 289 of the people that were at the game last night want the bar raised!
That place would be full if the team were decent.

Can you blame people for not going? They lost handily to the second or third worst team in the SEC. And Miss. St. was missing its leading scorer!

Kim ran off everyone with talent and that offense is a hot mess - he's not blameless.

He ran them off or they couldn't handle it? Typical.

Coaching is coaching. His players played HARD for him at CMSU. Recruiting is a separate issue. Sorry these D1 premadonas couldn't hack it. Maybe they'll establish a safe zone in the locker room, until he gets fired, then return to just get embarrassed some more.

2-22 missed the first 15 threes. Hell I suck and I can shoot better than that!

If a coach can't get his guys to want to be a part of the program, some of that is on him.

Not like JW3 was getting into trouble at Missouri, yet he wanted out. That's concerning.

I'm not sure Mizzou could attract a coach that could turn this thing around. Moving to the SEC was the worst thing that could have happened to the basketball program. It has basically become irrelevant kind of like the football program was pre-Pinkel. As a big Norm Stewart and Big 8, Big 12 Mizzou Tiger basketball fan, it is sad to see a terrible team on the floor and an empty building. I like Kim Anderson, but he is in way over his head and this is going to take a top tier coach to turn this thing around. It is really, really sad. I have a feeling the football program is about to see the same thing happen.
Missouri has enough money and great facilities. They can get a decent coach.

The SEC isn't the problem, if anything, it's easier for Missouri to be a Top 50 program in that conference - 1/3rd of that league sucks at hoops.

That may be true, but outside of Kentucky and Florida, most of the SEC teams get no exposure and the top HS players know that. It's a football conference and always will be.
Big East moved to Fox Sports from ESPN, crushing their TV ratings. How are they so good?

This is an excuse.

My .02 is that Anderson might not be a great coach but Missouri had their coach when Mike Anderson was there and Haith pretty much gutted the program with his sleaze.

Whoever the coach is it is going to take at least a couple years to get to where Missouri is competitive and in the meantime I don't think KA is going to do anything to embarrass the school. It is not going to be an attractive job until the NCAA investigation and possible sanctions are in the rear view mirror.

A lot of MU fans did nothing but complain about Mike Anderson.

I agree with the post above concerning the football program. Ive gotta bad feeling Zou's about to become irrelevant in football too. Maybe this is the punishment necessary for an institution that supports and caves in to minorities that threaten suicide in the name of "social justice". I thinks its called reaping what you sowed.
