She was right. Amazon needed NY. Amazon didnt need millions in subsidies.

Yet our governor just approved a big bunch if money for a company to increase their presence in Missouri. They've been here for many years but figured out they could get them nice tax breaks if they acted like they might not expand here. :(

Amazon is adding some people at existing distribution centers

They have NOT decided to build their new multi billion $$ HQ2 facility in New York

It was all about jobs. Jobs are still coming to NY. Amazon and other companies. They didnt need to subsidize them. I thought you were a conservative.

20 jobs not 20,000 jobs

Honestly I think it should be against federal law for any private or public entity to provide any inducements to get a company to locate in your state.

If Kansas and Illinois are willing to give companies millions in dollars to locate in their states then Missouri about has to or it will never get a shot at attracting industry

So you and AOC are in complete agreement.

Companies locate were workers want to live, if they are needing a brick and mortar location. Back years ago if you wanted to take a job you moved to the town that job was in. But now generation X seems to want things that only big towns can offer. Either the small towns pony up and compete or they will lose the company and jobs to other towns that are willing to make concessions or incentives for these companies move locations and create jobs. Municipalities need to compete for jobs and make the offer enticing for these companies to invest.

Now larger towns such as New York offer something that Amazon cannot over look and that is a large skilled work force pool. No matter what companies like Amazon, Facebook and google will always have a presence in Cities like New York just because of that. They already had over 5,000 Amazon employees there of the 20,000 jobs they said they would create. So 1/4 the labor force was already there, and they are going to purchase two new skyscrapers in New York to create more jobs they have been looking the last several months. They plan to have about a 12,000 work base in New York when all is said and done.
