Maybe I’m in the minority, but I’m sick of hearing ESPN telling us “analytics say you should go for it/kick” or “analytics say you should go for two” 😒

I don’t mind. I think it’s an interesting tool to use in decision making. I feel it does takes a little of the human element out of it. But hey, numbers, not instinct built all those tall buildings in the Nevada desert.
I’m just hoping Gary Danielson and Beth Mowin ride off into the sunset somewhere together.
I’m just so glad we added a ref to the booth to tell us if someone’s knee was down because we can’t see that with our own eyes on our massive TVs from five different angles. We need a zebra to state the obvious.
Analytics tells me it’s a bad decision to go for it in that scenario.
