WC's d-fense is familiar with the spread offense and usually shows up pretty good against it. Yes, they may let you move the ball from 20-20 but then they use the end zone as their friends and teams always run into trouble when they have to run the ball or go to the short pass. Webb's d-line will be a much faster line than Nixa saw with Joplin or another d-line, and in time they start to wear down the opponents o-line and start making the qb run for his life and look for receivers at the same time. Now, yes, WC's d-backs are going to have to stay with assignments and with the men in their area, but they will be coached on that all this week. The trick will be for Nixa to practice this week on stopping the veer & triple-option. It's one thing to have your scout offense walk through it so you can see it, but it's. totally different to have it come at you full speed and the offense knowing what they want to do to you. Jackson stepped in last week and gained over 100 yards, so it doesn't look like WC's offense will have to step back or come up with another scheme, JRod will just keep coming at you and you'll have to prove that you can stop them. And then you have the kicking game: who you going to kick it to? Or do what Branson did last week on their two times of kicking it on kick-off's - on side it and give the ball to WC in great field position? It's going to be a great game no doubt. You always have to give WC 14 points just. because they are at home, so you you have to hold them (at home) to no more scores and you have to score at least 15 - that's a little math for all you Ampipe guys.
