Heard this story before: Webb is not as good as past years, this great team coming in Friday night (insert Nixa here) is going to get them this time for sure, Webb plays with a chip on their shoulder, Webb pulls off the win, great team leaves Webb disappointed. With the exception of 2003 Kearney semifinal Webb always has a better than good chance to win at home. Webb has to play clean game on offense and.be physical both sides, but I like the underdog in this one. Oh wait cal preps says Nixa by 12 neutral site, the computer is never wrong, right? Except for when it is wrong repeatedly. The COVID sized crowd will take a little edge off home field, but it’s still Cardinal stadium, it’s still Nixa. Maybe if it were in Nixa and the coach sends in the kicker on 4th and goal for the win, but not this time.

Sarcasm? I think Webb has a really good chance of winning. Nixa has a good defense, but I wasn't very impressed with their offense. I'd say Nixa has the better defense, but Webb has the better offense.
Webb needs to be aware of Nixa's hard counts and weird formations. Joplin gave them around 4 first downs by jumping offsides. Joplin didn't have their best game and they were a 2 point conversion away from winning.

Nixa was one of our better opponents back in the late eighties, early nineties. It’s hard for me to imagine they’re class 6 nowadays.

One year, they had this kid who’d taken a red marker to his white Nike’s (a la “Waterbug”). Stuck with me for some reason.

Kinda like the time an albino squirrel raced across the field during a contest at Marionville.

Enjoyed my time in SW MO. Good people.

WC just happened to catch them on the top of the fist hill, I guess. WC had to travel to Joplin to face a team at full strength, had some jitters, but could have won otherwise. Any other excus... uh... I mean reasons? 😎

I wouldn’t know,,,,don’t live remotely close to Carthage. But I think there is only one Carthage that plays football in Missouri

But a average player who is one year older and 20 pounds heavier usually doesn’t magically transform into a D1 player in my experience
