How good was the poo vs Jeff city game?
Wasn’t. Sloppy. Poo up big early. Took foot off gas. JC came back, and even took a 1 point lead, but Poo clearly better. Easy to say, but same thing happened night before and Battle stole one. Poo has 2 bigs shooting less than 30% at the rim. It keeps opponents in the game…

That's why I asked.....final scores without seeing the game can be very deceiving.

I disagree that kickapoo took their foot off the gas. It was a couple point game at the half. They were only up big in the first quarter. So you’re saying they took foot off the gas when they got up 10 in the first quarter? Give me a break. Looked to me like shorter was red hot early from 3 point range and cooled off and that allowed Jeff city to get back in the game.

Sub pattern was different. Defense changed. Foot off gas.

That Kickapoo Bolivar margin is surprising
The biggest outlier of the year is Nixa/Poo. Took 17 made 3’s to beat Kickapoo. Barely. It was 51-18 at the half in Bolivar, on senior night, last night. I know they lost to Nixa, but they’re clearly the best team in the area. They are destroying everybody. Gonna do it to Joplin tonight, and Hillcrest on Friday.

Nothing better than a keyboard warrior chest thump...I keed, I keed...I think it played out like most that pay attention thought it would. No knock on Nixa, they're very good. Don't get to 28-1 by being anything but, just seems Poo is a bit better.

Agree on all counts. 28-1 is great. The area is SO down this year. In all classes.

Whether the area is "down" or not, I don't know.

However, this is the first season since 1997-1998 in which the five SPS teams will have winning records in boys basketball.

Kickapoo 21-8 (still playing)
Glendale 19-9
Hillcrest 18-11 (still playing)
Parkview 17-12
Central 15-10

Since they went to five schools in '71-'72...
1997-1998
Kickapoo 28-2
Glendale 19-8
Parkview 16-10
Hillcrest 15-12
Central 14-12
92-44 (.676%)

1987-1988
Glendale 21-8
Parkview 17-10
Kickapoo 16-11
Central 14-11
Hillcrest 14-13
82-53 (.607%)

1979-1980
Glendale 26-4
Parkview 23-5
Central 22-6
Kickapoo 17-10
Hillcrest 16-11
104-36 (.74%)
