1 in 6 Americans shouldn't be voting

You're gonna have to explain why you keep saying there is NO option for "legal" immigration? If there is a new law that says NO ONE can legally come here I missed that announcement.

So we discriminate against Mexicans when it comes to "legal" immigration? We should lock the door for more than just them.

Our policy is not realistic when it comes to acknowledging the fact that millions are here and are never going home.

I understand those that came here by breaking the law have no way to get legal now, that has nothing to do with people from Mexico trying to come here legally now. You keep saying there is NO way for them to do that and I don't believe it.

Well, you can believe whatever you want, but you're wrong on the facts of this issue if you think that.

Under the current US system, if you don't have close family here to sponsor you or an advanced degree, you have basically no way to get in the US legally long-term.

Let me ask you to think about something simple: if there were any remotely easy way to come to the US legally for the average Mexican, why would someone pay a coyote thousands of dollars to take them through a desert to cross the border illegally? People are dumb but they aren't that stupid.

So, then maybe they should stay in their home country.

That argument is a red herring.

Every single proposed compromise bill on immigration involves more enforcement at the border.

Further, there is no current mass migration of Latin Americans into the US. The problem isn't that people are coming here. The real immigration problem in the US is the fact that something like 11 million people are here and most of them are never going home. And, there's really no feasible way to ever send most of them home even if we wanted to do so.

And we should continue to deport them as they are found.

You implied there is a way. Not that it was hard or easy. My comment is no way for the average Mexican, which is why people have been willing to risk their lives and all of their savings to illegally cross the border.

Is that just for Mexicans or do we discriminate against every country? I'm quite sure there are MILLIONS of LEGAL immigrants here from Mexico, when did it get to be so hard they can't do it? BTW I think it SHOULD be pretty hard.

All countries.

There's plenty of historical immigration. Mexico has been there for a long time. Many were made legal by Reagan.
