Who is everyone going for in the World Cup? Im pulling for both USA and Brazil...Ronaldhino's the man. It would be cool if he could win the World Cup, after winning the club championship a short time ago.

Off your ass and on your feet, MOSO Lions can't be beat.

I obviously would love to see the Americans play very well, but I also have fallen in love with the Czech. It sucks that we play them first, but I love their goalie and their style of play.

And I was wondering what sport can't the Lions be beat at????

Ya, the Czech's playing style is cool...lol...well...thats actually a good question, it's just a saying that Coach Turner always says...lol, I've kinda modified it...my saying is...Off your ass and on your feet, MOSO Lions can be beat. I play baseball for Southern...and it was not a fun year.

That's cool... growing up in this area I have seen my fair share of Lions baseball games. Yeah it was a rough year, what does next year look like? And I didn't think anybody at southern cared about soccer!

Next year should be better...Coach Turner is supposed to be bringing in 8 JUCO kids, and a pitcher from ORU. Of course having 15 eligilbe guys this year didnt really help too much, lol. People in the Joplin area didnt pay too much attention to soccer at MSSU, but I can say this...there was great student support for the girls soccer team. Myself and a bunch of the baseball/football guys went out to every home game (and most away games) and cheered them on. The girls were 16th in the nation, 5th in the region...mostly freshman/sophomores too. MSSU's got a really good girls soccer team there.

Yeha the girld have had some real nice success recently. It is good there is support for them. SW MO isn't huge on soccer...which sucks, but until some joplin area player makes it big time (like what Jewsberry's emergence did for the springfield area)...it will probablly stay that way.

Ya...true. I used to play, but I got out of it for a while (Ive got a quick temper, so when I got pushed or somethin like that, it wasnt good, lol). But now Im startin to get into it...r there ne leagues in the Springfield area this summer?

I'm sure there are several but I don't soecifically know of any. Less than 24 hours until we play the Czech...any predictions??? I'll say it is a 1-1 tie.
