Motie Williams – Sr., Liberty North
An anchor of the offensive line for the Eagles he made a huge impact on the defensive side. It started in week 1 where he caused a fumble in the final minutes that keyed a North 21-20 comeback win over Blue Springs South. He finished with 27 tackles, four tackles for loss, 2 sacks and two forced fumbles from the middle of the line.
Ronelle Johnson – Jr., Blue Springs
Blue Springs took a step forward this season and the defensive line was a big reason why the Wildcats finished 6-5 which are the most wins since 2019. Johnson ended with 60 total tackles, 32 solo tackles, 14 tackles for loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles, a safety and a blocked punt.
Ka’Mori Moore – Sr., Lee’s Summit North
The player nicknamed ‘Baby Boy’ was a man for the Broncos. 21 solo tackles, 21 assisted tackles with 14 tackles for loss and four sacks all from the defensive tackle position where he routinely was asked to take on double teams of the opponents’ best players. Major part of the 11-1 North run to the Missouri Class 6 quarterfinals.
Isaiah Mozee – Sr., Lee’s Summit North
Closed out a stellar career with 53 receptions, 824 yards and 13 receiving touchdowns. Averaged 15.5 yards per catch and added eight more rushing touchdowns as he used all over the field by the Broncos during their 11-1 season.
Karsten Fiene – Jr., Lee’s Summit
Finished with 56 receptions for 980 yards and 15 touchdowns. Fiene averaged 17.5 yards per catch and added five rushing touchdowns on just 22 carries. Helped the Tigers to an 8-3 record which was their best finish in a decade.
Larry Porter – Sr., Raytown
In just 10 games finished with 1,410 yards and 18 touchdowns on 92 receptions. Led the Metro by almost 400 yards receiving and not only put up big numbers but did it week in week out for a Raytown team that went from 1-9 in 2023 to a 5-4 regular season in 2024.
Anthony Thompson – Sr., Fort Osage
The man in the middle for the Indians finished with 132 tackles with 82 of those solo tackles. Thompson had 19 tackles for loss and four sacks to go along with two blocked kicks all while putting up almost 800 yards rushing on the offensive side after an injury to the starting tailback.
Theo Grace – Sr., Kearney
Anchored a Kearney defense that only allowed 3 points per game when the starters were on the field. Grace had 134 tackles with 25 of those being tackles for loss and 15 were sacks. He also had a pick six during the year for the Bulldogs who lost in the Class 4 semifinals and finished the year ranked No. 2.
Trevor Bindel – Sr., Liberty
The Jays won their first district title since 2006 and advanced to the Missouri Class 6 semifinals. Bindel led the way for an offensive line that made holes for standout running back Jaxon Hicks who rushed for 2,700 yards. Bindel finished with 65 pancakes and an overall 95% grade by his coaches.
Dom Bruce – Sr., Blue Springs South
The Jaguars went from 1-9 in 2023 to 8-3 in 2024 on the strength of a rushing attack that ran for 3,102 yards. Bruce finished with 51 pancakes with a grade of 85% anchoring a line that finished with 4,700 yards of total offense.
Trevor Hay – Sr., Platte County
Playing on a team that regularly scored in the 50s it would be easy to look past the defense. The Pirates were stellar on that side of the ball. Hay was a force with seven interceptions, eight pass break ups while scoring three TDs. He also made 52 tackles from the backfield.
Dante Dixon – Jr., Park Hill
Coming off a nine-interception campaign in 2023, Dixon was again a ball hawk for the Trojans. He finished with five interceptions this season with 11 pass break ups while scoring a defensive touchdown. This all came in part of his production as he was one of the better receivers in the Metro as well.
Grant Noland – Sr., Kearney
The Bulldogs backed up their state championship with a 12-1 season ending in the Missouri Class 4 quarterfinals. Noland was a tackling machine with 94 total tackles, 33 solo tackles, 13 pass break ups and four return touchdowns.
Long Snapper – Bryce Aldridge, Sr., Park Hill South
Has an average snap time speed below .7 seconds and is ranked as one of the top 25 long snappers in the country. Also played quarterback for the Panthers.
