Another case for public/private split (part 3 or 4)?

Post dispatch all metro team, MO side teams only covers from Warrenton to Jefferson R7. Double check my numbers but I figure that includes about 53 schools. The MO side 1st team all metro has 62.5% of players from private schools. You could say, well that is just above 50-50. The thing that sticks out to me is you have 11.6% of the schools who have 62.5 % of the first team players. The MO private schools who make up the first teamers is SLUH, DeSmet, St Mary's, LN, CBC, MICDS, and CR. That 11% gets even smaller when you factor in other privates like Westminster, LS, Lutheran SC, St. Pius, etc. My guess is if you factored in all the privates, then the overall percentage would come down to 5 or 6%.

I have said it 10 times and I will say it 10 more, but I (and probably many like me) don't care what they do don't fault people for sending their kids their when given a reduced or free ride. I don't see how when the numbers are as bold as they have gotten, and the fact of they have a different set of rules, that it isn't common sense to seperate them come playoff time.

(for those who disagree, I know, I know, just work harder, here's a towel to dry your tears, snowflake, cry some more, etc). Just seems so bold to figure out IMO that it is a no brainer.

2024 reimagined with public/private seperation

Privates separated into two classes small and large. Small 0-345 and large 346-1504

my guess Small class champ is Lutheran North and Large class Champ is De Smet Jesuit

For Publics I took 40 into class 1, 48 into class 2, 47 into classes 3-5, and 42 into class 6
I wanted to break down into 5 classes but with the history of keeping top and bottom classes smaller i didnt want 63-64 in classes 2-4 so i chose this as it is very equal from 1-6 without exceeding a 2.0
Class 1 champ Adrian
Class 2 champ Lamar
Class 3 champ Blair Oaks
Class 4 champ Kearney
Class 5 champ Platte county
Class 6 champ Nixa

breakdowns below of each class

Indiana is a fraud

Indiana only played 1 ranked team the whole year, Ohio State, and they got blown out. Beginning next year the selection committee has got to take strength of schedule more of a factor in selection to CFP. South Carolina played 6 ranked teams this year and went 3-3 against them. They won their last 6 games to finish 9-3. South Carolina was a much more deserving team to be in the CFP.

Strafford v Skyline Pink n White semis

What an unreal game. Strafford wins on a 25 footer by frosh Larsen with 1.8 secs left. I think it might’ve been the only lead Strafford had in the game. Garrett from Skyline had 31…at halftime! 👀 No clue what she ended up with, but had to be well into the 40s. Pretty sure frosh Larsen had either zero or two at halftime and then just went nuclear in the second half. Just so fun to watch.

Saturday

..at Arrowhead. The mighty Texans invade Arrowhead to play Kearney, oops I mean Kansas City. The Chiefs have clinched the 3 seed and with a win Saturday they'll need one more win to clinch home field or a Buffalo loss to the always tough NE Patriots this weekend. That would be the best-case scenario. The steelers and broncos games would be meaningless, and the Chiefs can rest Chris Jones, McDuffie as well as Mahomes and some of the o-line.

It's going to be 40°, but dry at the stadium. It's gonna be a toasty 70° at Revnoworld and not a 20$ beer to be found. Choices will need to be made.
