COC--Week 2

Nixa @ Webb City... Nixa I don't think it will even be that close. Nixa's offensive line should have its way with the inexperienced Dline of Webb.

Lebanon @ Joplin ... Lebanon I am not entirely sure I am right on this one, but I just have a feeling the Jackets offense will get it done. Big bounce-back game after an abysmal performance (execution-wise) last week.

Kickapoo @ Neosho... Neosho Although I do not think Glendale is overly talented, I do believe Neosho is a decent squad this year. I don't know that Kickapoo has the firepower.

Waynesville @ Republic... Republic I don't think Republic is as bad as that week one matchup made them out to be.

Ozark @ Carthage ... Carthage Ozark realizes they aren't playing the Willards of the world this week and gets brought back to down to earth.

Glendale @ Willard ... Glendale I'm not sure on this one, but I really don't think Willard is that good. Tristan wins the first matchup against his former team!

Week 1 Rankings

Just flat don't see how any D could slow them down let alone stop them.
I wouldn't say that. Lutheran North's defense is the complete strength of LN. They are super-fast which limits the time the QB can get the ball out. With BO's RB Dapkus they have a way around that but LN knows this. I expect them to be all over him. If LN can limit Dapkus's contributions and keep pressure on the Bax (QB) then LN will make this a 4 quarter game. I don't see them blowing out BO by any means but they will force Bax to throw ill advised throws and force 3rd and longs. On the other hand LN has not shown its hand if it can move the ball well with a new QB.

BO wins if they can make enough plays against the extremely fast LN defense and win the turnover battle and get Dapkus open more times than not.
LN wins if they win the turnover battle and can actually move the ball on offense.

I expect this to be a 3 or 4 quarter game.

Enrollment numbers

That's not hard to check but remember we were using November numbers not march like mshsaa. That was the best I could do. I will definitely be looking for any major deviations but I imagine most are within 25-50 students.
Lincoln Prep was quite a bit different....like around 300 more students. I wonder if they messed something up in reporting enrollment because thats a lot of new kids for a school that hadn't seen near that growth previously.

Kearney 21, Fort Osage 0 Final

Always in
Yes, I am pretty sure that's happened. I wonder if and ejection means he has to sit out the next game? He would be a big loss(no pun inended).

How long is the starting QB out for Fort? Broken wrist?
He broke the wrist.... Yikes... That may be a bit of a recovery, especially if it's on his throwing hand

COC--Week 2

- Nixa, still say by at least 3 touchdowns.
- Joplin, based on last week’s results for both teams.
- Glendale, I guess? Neither looked great last week.
- Republic, Waynesville may not win a game unless they catch someone on a bad night.
- Carthage, by a comfortable margin, but Ozark will put up more of a fight than Waynesville did.
- Neosho, again based on last week’s results for both teams.

Week 2 COC picks

Whos everyone got this week? Should be some good ones!

Nixa @ Webb City... Nixa I don't think it will even be that close. Nixa's offensive line should have its way with the inexperienced Dline of Webb.

Lebanon @ Joplin ... Lebanon

Enrollment numbers

For the "other" sports, Webb is really close to being in the largest class. Branson is going to be the largest class.

Springfield Central lost a bunch of kids, but not nearly as many as Ruskin....their enrollment dropped by 250+.

Odd to see Webb City and Willard as bigger schools than Parkview, Central and Hillcrest...and almost as big as Glendale.
Webb went to the top class in softball. I am wondering if that means they go up in baseball. Last year the cutoff for the top class in baseball and softball were exactly the same.

COC--Week 2

Nixa- hope WC proves me wrong

Joplin- will win what was at one time a tough Ozark Conference matchup

Willard- hope the old COC can keep grabbing the Ws against the newcomers

Republic- will win this battle of authentic orange and black tigers

Carthage- blue tigers will beat the red tigers

Neosho- let's keep the old COC dominating for a little while.

Week 1 Rankings

I agree. Tipton manhandling California, a school twice their size was a great win. Lamar should win but expect Tipton to not go down very easily.
I was wrong about Tipton and California game, but man I am not sure that Tipton is ready to handle the physicality of the game. They will be punched in the mouth over and over again. Kudos to Tipton scheduling the game! Best of luck to both teams

COC--Week 2

Nixa at Webb -- Nixa 31-28
Lebanon at Joplin -- Joplin 20-17, OT
Glendale at Willard -- Willard 14-13 (they both scored 13 last week, one them has to make the second PAT this week)
Waynesville at Republic -- Repmo 42-7
Ozark at Carthage -- Carthage 42-14
Kickapoo at Neosho -- Neosho 28-10

Week 1 Rankings

Ritter is playing in Rochester IL vs. the defending 4A champs but I think RawMeat gave solid intel they didn't look, to me anyway, like someone who can challenge the MO all star team.

One week tells so little in general, though, so who knows what to expect. Were I not committed to the battle of Liberty this Friday would pop over to GV to check that one out.
I usually have a good read on GV however with so many changes and me being out of town the last 3 weeks I'm not 100 on then. I wouldn't be surprised with a tight game with either team winning but I also wouldn't be surprised if PC wins by 21. It's insanity
