Tell me about Platte County

Forget the state tournament. Right now in KC everyone would rather finish like this:

Liberty vs. Kearney

Platte County vs. Lee's Summit North

Winner vs. Winner
Ummm no we all want the state titles here in KC we can do hypo later

However even if hypo was to happen we would rather have the 2 C6 go against each other and the HWY 92 showdown may need a bigger stadium than either of them have for that and then winner vs winner

It seems absurd

Just do premier league status. You win you go up. Class 6 team go 0-10 four years in a row. Welcome to 8 man. Lamar winning state 4 years in a row. Welcome to class 6. Isnt that what the people want? Punish the good teams that try hard every year. Losing record for 5 years....flag football league. Private religious school where kids cant spell "bible".......transfered to coffeyville kansas.
If you wanted punish the good teams then go back to 5 Classes 3/4 team districts. Never done it with the Championship Factor, I promise theses schools like Cardinals Ritter and Lutheran North be playing the big guys.

If not tweaked the Championship Factor to 8+ points puts you in Class 6. 5-7 Puts you automatically in Class 5 and 3-4 automatically puts you C4.

Class 6 Updated Playoff Projections (11-25)

Liberty needs to clean up all those pens. If they do that combo of huge O Line, great QB-RB combo and solid D (they defended Park Hill's spread beautifully after getting caught one on one off guard one early TD play) could bring the trophy back to Liberty this time on the south side.
i prefer it in kc over stl for sure

Tell me about Platte County

Watching Webb the whole season, they were extremely lucky to be playing beyond the regular season. Only the last 3 games before PC did they actually have any fire and play somewhat as a cohesive unit. This was probably the worst Webb team in over 40 years. With that being said the PC team was solid. The qb was very good and made good decisions. He has plenty of zip but also great ball placement. Their RB's are deceptive, fast and shifty. The coaching staff does a good job with mismatches and puts them in good positions. The biggest issue is their secondary. Even a team that doesn't pass like Webb got behind them several times. I think you would need to put lots of pressure on the qb early and log jam the line in order to get them out of their comfort zone and make some mistakes. The PC team has lots of tools but I wasn't like OMG they are unbeatable. I think some of the past Webb/Kearney teams were definitely better as a unit. I will say the coaching at Webb is the big question mark. Webb was definitely out coached this past Friday. Good luck to PC.

Class 5 Week 5 playoff predictions by cal preps

I have seen both Wildwood Lafayette and Platte County the pace of that game would have to slow a bunch for it to be that close with all due respect...............
started thinking how long of a win streak that would be and it would be 30 straight and 2 titles with the last loss being a very close season ending in 23

Class 6 Updated Playoff Projections (11-25)

Semifinals
Kirkwood 21 vs. Nixa 41 (With how Kirkwood has been playing I think this big of a gap would be surprising)
De Smet 21 vs. Liberty 24

State Championship
Nixa 31 vs. Liberty 17

State Champion - Nixa (Personally rooting for this outcome!)

Nixa played a heck of a game to win with 10 seconds left this past week. They are going to have a challenge on their hands the next couple of weeks though because all of their possible opponents are solid!

Class 3 Updated Playoff Projections (11-25)

Semifinals
Lift for Life 21 vs. Seneca 42
Blair Oaks
42 vs. Maryville 14

State Championship
Seneca 42 vs. Blair Oaks 28

State Champion - Seneca

This one has been expected basically since week 2 or 3. I'm not sure we really have a good idea about who the real favorite is between BO and Seneca but I'm sure we are all interested to see how it goes. They have both steamrolled their competition other than BO against LN but I don't think that tells us much about how they will do against Seneca.

Class 1 Updated Playoff Projections (11-25)

Semifinals
St. Vincent 20 vs. Adrian 28
Tipton
28 vs. Penney 24

State Championship
Adrian 35 vs. Tipton 19 (Increased spread from last week)

State Champion - Adrian

The projections for class 1 have been pretty accurate so far. At least when it comes to final outcome of the games. Adrian has been projected as the champ for awhile now but obviously the semifinal game this week should be a good one. Both of them should really...

Class 2 Updated Playoff Projections (11-25)

Semifinals
Bowling Green 22 (Projected to be Valle) vs. Lamar 34
Fair Grove
35 (Projected to be Lafayette County) vs. South Shelby 17 (Projected to be Mid-Buchanan)

State Championship
Lamar 28 vs. Fair Grove 21 (was projected to be Valle over LC)

State Champion - Lamar

This one was definitely the hardest class to predict this past weekend. The projections were wrong for three of the four but so were most of us on our actual picks I believe. If you would've told me halfway through the year that Lamar would be expected to be the state champion going into the semifinals, I probably would not have believed you. Interested to see how this one plays out!

It seems absurd

Given the results of actual games I’d say you aren’t punishing big schools. The championship factor is clearing working though I think it still think it should be tweaked some.
“The championship factor is clearly working”
Unless the school is class 6 and if the goal is to punish small privates !
My biggest issue with it is it only applies to some and not all! Someone plz explain with logic and not emotions how that can be right???

Class 4 Updated Playoff Projections (11-25)

Semifinals
Festus 21 vs. Warrenton 26
Kearney
41 vs. Lutheran North 22 (We all know this is the real state championship game)

State Championship
Kearney 38 vs. Warrenton 14

State Champion - Kearney (If this doesn't happen some of you guys will cry for weeks...)

Can't wait to watch the real state championship game this week between LN and Kearney. Kearney is the easy favorite after the trouble LN had with Parkway North on Friday. No offense to them but they are no Kearney.
