I was at the game, and while not an expert on the x's and o's of football like a lot of people on this board neither team could stop the other Nixa just so much bigger on the offensive line they just ran the ball QB and RB weren't stopped all day, think they gained positive yardage on all but 3 rushing plays 2 of which were mishandled snaps they fell on. Nixa couldn't stop Kirkwood's passing game and if it wasn't for the pick 6 right before the half it would have been down to the end back and forth. The pick 6 combined with NIxa taking 8 minutes off the clock to start the 3rd quarter even though they didn't score due to getting behind the chains from a holding penalty put Kirkwood in a huge hole that was to much to overcome. Seemed like the Kirkwood QB had been hit a couple times and rushed the throw just a bit on the pick 6, but he was very good all day and Nixa couldn't cover Kirkwood's receivers. Side note was impressed with #4 for Kirkwood getting injured and coming back in the game to make some huge plays. I don't know what else Kirkwood could have tried from a coaching standpoint as they weren't going to get bigger or stronger during the game. They had a stacked box and 1 on 1 on the receivers most of the game Nixa just overpowered them. From someone who really didn't care about the outcome was very entertaining game with the two contrasting styles.
