SW/SCMO Pick ‘Em Week 12 Standings & Scoreboard

Haha if this was predictable I'd never bother with it indeed!
I genuinely try to pick games that I think will be close or are a rematch game or a game where it may appear to be a mismatch but there are other factors at play that should make it competitive. And I completely whiff a lot of the time, but I think those 2 out of state games being decided by 1 point showed I can get it right sometimes 🤣🤣

SW/SCMO Pick ‘Em Week 12 Standings & Scoreboard

Thanks. I give you a hard time about things, but I do appreciate the contest.

I know it doesnt really matter because I think you are going off of wins, but how are there differences in our loss totals at the top? Shouldnt our numbers be the same because of picking all the same games?
I’m already working(in my head) on tweaking some things for next year. I have a few different ideas to shake things up. Will probably have to involve a spread sheet instead of doing everything by hand 🤣

So if y’all are tied in wins, I just have it in alphabetical order but it’s still a tie. And as far as the differences in losses, there have been some weeks where I or others have submitted picks after a Thursday contest so we ended up being short a game. It hasn’t happened often, but it has happened.

West Plains - Warrenton

So West Plains will be the host next Saturday at 1pm. I really don’t know much about them. I just watch the their game against Holt. They have good size kids on the line and they play a lot of kids both ways like West Plains. Their running back looks like a stud. Will West Plains speed play a factor? What do you guys think.
Were you finding Warrenton games on YouTube or through MSHSAATV?

SW/SCMO Pick ‘Em Week 12 Standings & Scoreboard

These contests always teach me how little I know after all these years.....................
There are so many variables in HS football LOL.

If you’re picking 65% or above in a statewide pick ‘em with all the variables and injuries and weather, and inconsistent officiating and ejections and everything else, you’re doing alright lol

Nixa at Lee's Summit North

MSHSAA Enrollment

Before I posted, I just googled “Lee’s Summit North enrollment” and got “2007”. That is much different than the MSHSAA numbers and what I was recalling for the smaller half of the COC schools which are actually under 1300 according to MSHAA. Neither here nor there. We agree, nobody in the COC has been able to push Nixa and I see that as a negative, whereas North has a roster unlike anything they’ve seen this year and have been in some closer games. Nixa’s closest game was a 20 point win over Carthage back in week 4. LSN has 7 contests with wins of less than 20 points.
The enrollment numbers on MSHSAA are grades 9-11.

Lutheran north - miller?

Rumor has it the LN coach lives on this forum. I’ll give him some bulletin board material for his game this week because I definitely want to see LN V. karney.

Lutheran North can’t do the following:
Play special teams
Pass block
Hustle
Stop the run
Be physical for an extended period of time
They don’t have depth - watching 75 limp around on both sides of the ball is actually comical
The best player on their team is #7 and he goes both ways. He won’t touch the ball in the special teams game the next 3 weeks

I do agree they can pass the ball and are the best ball hawk defense in the Midwest. That ball would not leave the ground if im parkway
They have a number of big time athletes but yes DEPTH is a factor. Another is please remember their 2023 QB transferred to (drum roll) PARKWAY NORTH.

Several had LN vs. Kearney sharpied on their C4 title boards last year....................

Look at the view numbers. I guarantee you someone from pretty much all these schools reads stuff here at a minimum.

How many district championships is this now for Webb City

What I think is cute is how quick they all disappeared when their team was struggling and how quickly they came back, but only when there was something to gloat about with the thread to update everyone on the district trophy count, i sure nailed that one.
Much as some of it drives me nuts the board needs the traffic!
